Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hi!
Didja finally shake that flu-bug that was trying to catch up to you?
I think it was directly related to being in the Bay Area myself. *grin*

Heh...it's a "chat slap!"Did I miss a link somewhere? If things are slow at work tonight, I might pay a visit.
Things were slow last night, because the help line's call director flaked out last night. I got a call on our secret hotline about 2:30, from a tech who told me our main number hadn't been working for two hours. Sure enough, that number just rang, with no phone tree coming up, and none of our phones ringing. Telecom rebooted it within a couple of minutes of me calling them.
[sigh]It was nice while it lasted. Some times things are really that slow. Two hours of freepin' while eating chocolate ice cream surplus from last week's "National Customer Service Week".

Is "evolved" a better word? *grin*
*sigh* Poor Sean Astin. He basically said that the reason he's a Democrat is because his parents were. Then he listed out all of things that were important to him and he sounded as conservative a fella as you could think of.
He's >this< close to realizing he's Republican, IMHO.
Nevertheless, he's just as cute as ever. No worries, I know he ~yours~. :-D

Nah...you can keep Sean Astin.
But Sam is mine.
Not that I'd mind having both...but I guess it's a sin to be selfish...

I noticed that no matter how much slapping Kerry takes, Bush's numbers always stay above.
Hmmmm.....
How's your cough, BTW? Has it eased up a bit?
I've been working so much lately, I feel like I've been trapped in a time warp.
I expect any day now I'll ask 2J if her hens have started laying yet. *shakes head*

Empress tried to do that with a minivan a couple years ago. She had just a little better angels and angles and got off with a mangled foot and a perforated lung. The minivan looked about like that. For the record I don't recomend rearending semis at 60mph. The semi will win.

How's your cough, BTW? Has it eased up a bit? It's still there. I thought the drugs would take care of it, but so far they haven't.
