Even as many had dreams indicating in July and August that September would be a month of storms, others have had dreams saying that October would be a month of terrorism. May we be found standing in the breach as the Lord would direct us.

September 4. 2004 5:03am.........had this dream three times...
I am standing outside, and approximately about 20 feet away from me, I see what looks like a big globe of the world.
As I begin to walk towards it, I am then lifted up far above this globe, and can now look down , and see the whole universe.
As I look far over towards the left, I see a darkening in the sky. In a blink of an eye, it strikes me that it has the resemblance of New York…the stock exchange buildings and business area. I then become aware, that as this situation is occurring, that in other parts of the world, there seem to be simultaneous attacks.
Although, I am not certain, of the exact places these attacks are also occurring, I do notice, that oil refineries, are being blown up, and I notice there seems to be those of Arabic descent as well as what appears to be Iraq, is now once again, under heavy attack, with air attacks, and ground forces, attacking just as they did in the beginning of the war…many lives are lost.
As this takes place, I look to my right, and see more destruction, and terror and death.
As I awoke, I was in tears, and kept hearing "Oct will be a significant month, Winds Of Change…Watch and Pray"

It's a feature of my personality that I often think of things in layers after the fact. Probably derives from childhood insecurity with darling mother who'd throw a fit instantly if one didn't respond to her liking. One would have to come back maybe 2-4 times to get heard much at all. And even that was super hazardous.
That's just a guess. I don't really know. But it's a pretty entrenched feature of my personality. And worse when I'm multitasking and in a hurry. I'm virtually always multitasking and increasingly in a hurry these days.
I don't consider an observation that you twisted Scriptures a character assassination. Saying that you consciously twisted them in a dishonest, deliberate way because you're a half-wit and your mother dresses you funny would have been character assassination.
I'm used to vigorous, intense give and take from my 3,000 hours of intense group sessions. That's fine, even fun with me.

NOT TRUE AT ALL. Certainly I tried long and hard to get you to quit hijacking this thread. It became reluctantly clear that (A) you were not going to stop and (B) the mods were not going to do anything about it.
I finally decided, maybe you folks were right in an unexpected way--perhaps God did expect me to rise to the occasion and deal with the cessationism issue on this thread. So, I changed my mind, and heart, even.
Certainly, I did not want to take this to another thread. 1) I was too busy to imagine doing it and 2) I felt that since you'd insisted on hijacking this thread--any discussion needed to be concluded here. Nothing less was quite fitting to me. I've since lain aside a list of other priorities for the time being.

Well since we are discussing dreams.....God has always been pretty simplistic with me. I know I will probably burn on a street corner somewhere for what I believe, it infuriates people altho I won't bring that into this forum.
One of my 4 dreams and this one was about 15yrs. ago was not only for the church I was sitting in but also the future of organized religion which by the way is not THE CHURCH.
It was a santuary, and the room was filled with beautiful crystal clear blue water, the two big double front doors opened and all the water poured out of the building, all that was left was empty chairs, a layer of about 6 in. of mud on the floor and the skulls and bones of people sticking up out of the mud.
Pretty simple, and not hard to understand, but burnt into my mind.
I also know the next pope will be a black man, and he will be a maneater. Maybe not in the literal sense but a destroyer of mankind. He will be surrounded by many different forms of religion all with different levels of earthly authority and none will stop this man. Nimrod re-encarnated.
These are perilous times and all we will have is FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE. Don't get caught up in swallowing camels and choking on knats, it is a diversion. Rebuke that religious spirit and love thy neighbor, we weren't told to love them only if we feel they have correct doctrine, just love them. Lead don't drive another to truth. And that truth is Christ and him crucified. Above all be merciful, for the mercy we show is the mercy we will receive. Be angry but sin not. And understand the separation is in progress, there will be no grey areas, we will chose whom we serve.

Many have had similar visions and dreams.
The religious spirited church is headed for severe fiery furnaces. All that can be shaken will be shaken.
A number of people also believe that either the next Pope or--after a short termed one, the next and last Pope--the one after that will be evil and black.

No I haven't. I don't pay much attention to what is going on at the religious front. What does it say?
She's RC and into a LOT of that ilk of stuff I don't have much . . . patience for.
However, she earnestly seems to Love Jesus. And she collects all manner of RC seers dreams and visions etc. and all manner of intelligence regarding the AC, the Pope, end times etc.
She has a LOT to say about the final sequence of Popes. I used to be on her email list before I changed my addy to get rid of a bunch of spam.
She's mentioned the black Pope several times as best I can recall.

Napier looks very tired and tentative . . . could be gentle. Could be insecure and alternately fierce. I'd vote for tired and tentative. Can't see eyes well.
Etsou looks like a functionary but also could be ruthless if he felt it justified--often the worst kind! But I can't see his eyes well enough, either.
Arinze looks sober, deliberate, serious, a can-do person. Can't see eyes well enough to determine how ruthless he might be.

I heard a short blurb on the radio about two days ago about a miracle. They called it a miracle. It was on our local station which is usually ABC news feed but sometimes CNN. I've tried to find it here, on the net and newsgroups. It wasn't about a terror attack.
I think it happened in Washington state, and it concerned a woman whose friend and car was missing. She had a repeating dream about a particular intersection, and the words "Don't stop". There may have been more which I don't remember.
Anyway, after after searching herself, she finally found her friend's car at the bottom of a ravine, and her friend was alive. It had been one week. She was dehydrated and it was reported that even that worked to her advantage because it kept the blood clot in her brain from causing more pressure.
If anyone can point me to the story, I would appreciate it.

I did have a thing when the snipers out east were causing such an uproar. I prayed and prayed and an inaudible voice told me while I was reading posts on this forum that they would be caught in two days. I almost thought about posting it here, but thought that might not be a good thing to do for a couple of spiritual reasons and draw attention to myself. If I had had any real information, I might have gone out on a limb and called someone risking being ridiculed. Anyway, it was not looking like they were even close to catching these snipers, but exactly two days later that trucker cornered them. And the interesting thing was that he had prayed with his friends. I believe with all my heart that God led him to be at that place at that time.
Maybe we shouldn't blab these things. If it would save a lot of people and was real specific, I think we should tell someone. It is a tough, tough call, and the authorities have enough false leads to follow.
I met a nice young guy in therapy about seven years ago who had been diagnosed as schizophrenic. He was catholic and talked as normal as you or I. He had trouble focussing on his job and was in danger of losing it which he did because he was away from work so long. Anyway, he occasionally had hallucinations or visions or whatever. Nobody takes any of that seriously. Finally in a therapy group, I asked him WHAT HE SAW. He said he saw knives falling from the sky. Later it occurred to me that it could mean a harbinger of a coming reign (rain) of terror. Or maybe he was just mentally off. But he didn't seem like your usual mental case. He was curious about Fatima and started going to church again.
Some of this stuff is messages in symbolic form that need to be interpreted. Some of it is just plain crazy.
The last precognitive dream I had was really crazy. It was a couple months ago and I am in a real spiritual funk for a long time lately. This dream was crazy but it was about the transformer on the pole on the corner by my garage. A neighbor was holding a hose and streaming the water toward the transformer, but it was only going halfway up the pole. I didn't have much strength, but I took the hose from her and the water shot higher almost to the transformer. I remember thinking if I hit the transformer, it will explode. The next morning about 10:00 or so I was sitting at my computer and there was a loud explosion like a bomb went off. There was no power interruption and my computer didn't crash. Sure enough, in another hour or so, the power company truck came and did something to the transformer. That thing does blow a couple or three times a year especially in storms. I don't know what to make of such a crazy thing. It almost seems too much for coincidence but why would anyone dream such a crazy thing especially when they seldom have dreams they even remember?
I have a feeling I am going to wish I hadn't posted this nonsense.

I understand your feelings and experiences fairly easily, I think.
I think your sensibilities are sound enough, in my book. We all see through a glass darkly and must grow in discernment by Holy Spirit's teaching, gifting and empowering and leading.
Certainly we test things by The Spirit and by Scripture.
And some of us sensitive birds of rare plumage are rarely understood even by other authentic Christians. Sometimes it seems that God creates some of us so uniquely for HIS PLEASURE that we don't have a great breadth and depth of congruent interface with others. We have to grow in learning that HE IS ENOUGH. There can be a lot of paradoxes along that road!
Anyway--welcome. If you want to ask a mod to remove a post for a good reason, they are usually ammenable. But I don't see anything wrong with your post.
If the naysayers hassle you, ignore them.

Spouse and good friend have had several tsunami dreams lately, and now the 11 yr old daughter of friend had one.
They live near the northern CA coast (about 1/4 mile, to be exact) and spouse and I live about 40 miles from coast.
WHOA!
I wonder if it's time to do a kind of summary listing of the significant dreams which are similar or dove tail with each other.
It seems like, to my rough memory, that we have at least a handful represented by FREEPERS alone which are collaborative in terms of speaking about the same sorts of events.
I don't think I have time in the next several days. I wonder if anyone else would.

Good position. One discernment I've found to help me from falling out of fellowship while engaged with others (and I'm still working at keeping in this light) is to discern in our walk between reaction and response.
While remaining in fellowship with Him we respond to situations, whereas if we slip and exalt ourselves or act independently of the spirit through Him, we tend to react to situations.
Interestingly, the phrase, 'responsible for one's actions' and 'higher level of responsibility' take on slightly different, more robust meanings in that vein.
