Guess I'll sleep well in Austin.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,135746,00.html
The top metro areas for good sleep:
Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn.; Anaheim, Calif.; San Diego, Calif.; Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, N.C.; Washington, D.C.; Bergen-Passaic, N.J.; Chicago; Boston; Austin, Texas; Kansas City, Mo.
The 10 cities with most sleep problems:
Detroit; Cleveland; Nashville, Tenn.; Cincinnati; New Orleans; New York; Las Vegas; Miami; San Francisco; St. Louis.
This is one of those cases where no matter what you do, the kids are gonna get hurt. I hate it. These are really good boys.
On a brighter note, I had to go this afternoon to take my 2 foster girls shopping for clothes. I don't think they'd ever actually had a shopping trip like that in their life. It was very exciting for them. I also remembered why I started hated shopping after Dawn left home. LOL!
hated = hating
Today is one month since you invited me over here :)
Wow! Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it?
It totally does. I have been haunting you guys that long ... hahhahhahhaha. Waiting to see if you (Mo1?) switch threads again and this time leave me in the dust, lol. Thank you for having me here this long :)
Where did you go shopping today - anywhere fun? I think I'll have to do more online clothes shopping to avoid crowds.
I saw an interview this morning on Fox with the Repub gov. of a Southern state (Mississippi, maybe?). At any rate, he was talking about how Kerry is not doing well in the South and how many Dems are switching their votes to W. It was interesting, and I was shocked to be reminded that Gore lost TN and Arkansas, and of course that Edwards won't be able to win NC... The gov. was saying something like the last time they voted for a Dem for president was Jimmy Carter. I'm sure you know all this, but I thought of you.
Nowhere particularly fun. Had to go to Walmart because that's where we have the credit card for those kinds of purchases. These girls came into foster care and one of them literally didn't even have a pair of shoes. She had been borrowing shoes to wear to school and having to wear her sister's clothes (such as they were). It has taken nearly a month to get the purchase order approved. The foster mom had already gotten them some shoes and we got a vocher from Salvation Army to get them a few things to tide them over till the vouchers came through.
What I really want to see is for that to carry over to our Senate race. Our republican candidate has been an excellent state senator and would be a wonderful US Senator. But the RAT incumbent (Blanche Lincoln) is throwing millions around. Jim doesn't have that kind of money and he only got $5000 from the party and they have done virtually nothing to support him.
Wow, that is so sad and so good that she now has some shoes. Geez.
Has anyone read this thread?

What the hell has happened to some of the people on FR? Some of them collect like an angry mob. Sheesh... they really should get a life, or spread their wings a bit more.. :(
That is terrible. That's similar to what happened here with the candidate we were supporting who was trying to beat 20-year incumbent Jim Kolbe (ultra social liberal who pushes his gay agenda) in the Repub primary. I probably told you... Kolbe outspent the state senator like 800K to 80K, and the party abandoned the true conservative. I won't vote for the Dem lady but I will be writing in a name, or putting "none of the above".
Geez....some FReepers just get a little too touchy at election time.
I missed that one until now, but I read another thread earlier where they were snipping at each other over grammatical issues. One poster said we should be attacking the enemy, not each other... and that all the swiping is making her cry. Speaking as a new person, I understand where she is coming from.
I think it was a satire written for the dumb and afflicted conservative gripers who think Bush is no different than the Democrats.....some of which have posted or continue to post here.
The article was definitely tongue in cheek.
We don't like snakes your kind here.
Very interesting - thank you! Why can the good guys not win? Randy Graf will be back in two years and maybe this time he can beat Kolbe. Like Jim Holt, Randy is the most decent family man, endorsed by the NRA, firemen, policemen... As a state rep, he lowered taxes. He's anti-abortion, pro-closing the border, pro-business, and pro-traditional marriage. GOP was too afraid to lose Kolbe's clout in the WOT though...
Because I guess they think that Arkansas is a waste of money, for whatever reason. Either that, or they're just not real supportive of truly conservative candidates. That seems plausible, too. I'm sure that real conservatives are as much of a PITA for RINOs to work with as RATs are.
