Is Stacie J crazy or are the others overreacting?

The others were letting her have it with both barrels, but may regret not having her around as a scapegoat for their generally amateurish performances.

Stacie was a nutcase, but probably not certifiable, as Omarosa might well have been. Stacie was childish, had no clue about how to get along with others, no one liked her. I suppose those are good reasons for Donald's firing her.

But Maria really did a lousy job and so did Elizabeth. Both surprised me with their poor performances. Eliz has the best resume on the show, male or female, and Maria came off as very bright during the first episode.

I don't really see anyone in particular to root for in this group. I was quite taken with Troy last season, at least until near then end when it became apparent that he was in over his head.

Anyone able to spot possible winners yet? Some of the men look OK to me -- Kevin seems to have it together, Kelly, Wes, maybe Raj. But the women?

My apologies to everyone on the PING list. Since receiving my TIVO, I hardely ever remember when the the show is actually on. Good show last night. Stacy J, as weird as she is, really didn't need to be fired last night. She had nothing to do with the print job that caused their budget overrun. I thought that was unfair.

I think Stacie J is erratic, but I wouldn't call her crazy. She works with teenagers most of the time (She owns a Subway). I don't think she was prepared for the corporate environment (Even a fake corporate environment made for television).

BTW - I'm not knocking people who own and operate Subway sandwich shops. Just wanted to make that clear.

OK, so which team did you think created the best toothpaste "buzz" and why.

I thought the guys team had a better idea because a sports figure has appeal but it could be limited, money appeals to everybody.

Has anyone told The Donald that he looks positively absurd with his bad comb over and his big brunette booby fiancee?

Good question. Probably the money was more attractive bait than the toothbrushing athlete. Though a PR follow-up with the athlete would probably garner more media attention. But of course, there was no time for a followup.

Basically, I thought both approaches were pedestrian and forgettable. Customers would remember the money and the ballplayer, but the new toothpaste? I rather doubt it. I had no sense of brand identification.

I would have jazzed up the vanilla concept, found a way to spritz vanilla-mint scent into the air, and given away free trips to Tahiti or Mexico where vanilla is grown. (At trade shows I've attended, booths with excellent aromas get an incredible amount of attention.) I rather liked the circus performers, who could have been dressed in Tahitian costumes. Actually, real Tahitian dancers are extremely exciting and those pounding Tahitian drums in the 'hood they chose as their venue would have drawn a huge crowd who'd want to get in on the act. (Yes, everything's availably in NYC.) Would have turned into a big street party, one would think, hopefully a memorable one.

Hand-out graphics could show a sexy tube of vanilla mint "cresting" a wave on a surfboard, which is corny, but maybe not too. Two surfers, Vanilla and Mint, flirting while cresting a wave?

Something that drew attention to the new, exciting, sexy, compelling, unique, delish flavor, vanilla-mint and made it stick in customers' minds would, one would think, be the way to go. At least I've managed to talk myself into wanting to try that new toothpaste.

Do I get the job? Or a trip to the boardroom?

Wow, you have thought about this!

I'm still not impressed by the ballplayer angle. Not bad, but not memorable to me.

I liked the guys circus atmosphere, I thought that was attractive to the largest demographic. Entertaining for kids and adults.

Scent! What a great idea, a vanilla, mint scent wafting through the crowd.

A trip is a great idea but perhaps hard to arrange in a short amount of time, perhaps not.

I like the Crest wave idea as well - you're hired.

I didn't think the ballplayer was a bad idea, particular since it was Mike Piazza. Mike has the Met fans in tow (males age 18-50), kids (sports card collectors), and the women (generally thought of as attractive with a great smile). Being known for his smile also meshed well with the toothpaste campaign. To me, the coup de grace was having him autograph the flyer. That would insure that people would hold onto that advertising.

While Stacy J. wasn't "a team player", I really thought that the project manager had shot herself in the foot, when she told Trump she didn't know they went $5000 over budget until they walked into the room. I thought she was dead at that point. I mean, that was an over-run of 10% of the budget on a two-day (at most) task. Could you imagine her overseeing a Trump construction project?

I really thought he would fire 2 in the boardroom. The hype said something new would happen in the boardroom. I thought he would fire Elizabeth AND Maria. I guess the hype was about calling in everyone else again.
Has Omarosa called Stacy yet to offer her attorney's services??
I wonder how much P&G paid Trump to get their challenge on the show, and how soon is that toothpaste coming out for real? They got a lot of exposure in that show no matter how the teams did.

I'll take money over a sports star any day. Winning $5K on the spot was actually better than their idea to give away a "chance" to win $1M.

Jennifer M is the only female that really has a chance, though there is the tiniest possibility that Maria, if she shows that she made a mistake, learned from it, and shines in future work could hang in there, but her and Jennifer C have probably burned too many bridges now(plus I hate her ugly haircut.) The rest of the gals are whiny deadweight. The guy with the cane is too odd for Trump to take seriously, though I wouldn't write off the 23-year old just because of his age(which everyone seems to be doing), he's had some really good ideas. The former military guy(Kelly?) probably has the best shot.

Yes,I agree that Jennifer M looks like a top female candidate, as her answers at the board room were tough, to the point, and correct. Little Stacy isn't doing to badly either. Maria, I think, has flummoxed her chance. The bridal business owner looks sharp so far too.

But the men look better, imho, and I agree that the military guy looks best so far. He has that driving, perfectionist energy that Donald is looking for. I wouldn't count out the black fellow, Kevin, who is bright, active, and seems to have depth of character. I like him. As for the young guy, yes he has ideas, but not all of them are good. He seems a bit over the top to me, in danger of really bleeping up.

Tonight we'll get another chance to evaluate them all.

A trip is a great idea but perhaps hard to arrange in a short amount of time, perhaps not.

Thanks for hiring me, pbear8. Let me reassure you that a trip is very easy to arrange, as travel agencies and wholesalers have them organized and for sale at a moment's notice. Looking forward to the show tonight! See you later. Veto!

Hey Veto! Obviously I don't travel big time that often!

I think tonight has something to do with a restaurant. Too bad for Stacie J, she might have done well with this one.

Deep, dark secret: Even the husband likes this show.

Yes, Kevin is coming across well. I just don't think that Stacy("The Little Munchkin") has any chance of winning, because don't they narrow it to 2 and then Trump makes the final decision based on his overall opinion, not limited like in each episode? Unless he isn't allowed to watch the video shot during all this, he's going to pick up on how she is such a backstabbing, melodramatic, and dishonest sower of discord. She might make a good soldier/henchman, but not a leader who can be trusted. And I bet that Caroline has picked up on that in her observations.

I'm curious if next week Pam is simply added to team PMS, or also appointed as their leader(which would really be unfair to her in a way, but that's how business works sometimes.)
