Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

heh heh...
I was talkin' with Walt, the Game Warden the other day... they have great stories...
it seems there was this fella that retired out in these parts last spring and decided tuh turkey hunt... he showed up at the check station with a guinea... Walt took him aside, tryin' not to embarass him, and told him he'd shot a guinea... the guy was insistant it was a turkey, but Walt finally convinced him... thewn told him that if'n he didn't know what he was supposed tuh shoot, he had no business in the woods... the handed him a huntin' magazine...

To: g'nad

I'll get there on time... but it's just not fair, I go to bed at a decent hour but I can't get to sleep. I need a mid-day nap. Hah, like I'll get that.

I go to bed at a decent hour but I can't get to sleep. I know it sounds like heresy...but cut the caffeine in the evenings...

I do! These days, I am done with caffeine by lunch - I take one soda bottle to school with me, and fill it with water all afternoon. That's why I'm confused about my sleeping issues.
Maybe I ought to drink wine before bed rather than with dinner...
Right, time to go. See you later. Maybe. If the guys have fixed the printer issue and I'm not lynched on entering the building.

yep, butter him up...he's toast...
If the BEST they can come back with is George Bush's National Guard record, that's pretty pathetic.
Like someone said on another thread yesterday "I think it was a mistake for George Bush to run on his National Guard record." BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
I'm thinkin' my article this weekend will be somethin' like "let's forget the 60s and 70s and focus on the last 20 years..."

Yup I find I have to have no caffeine, fast physical exercise or involved computer games within 1-2 hours of trying to sleep. And no taking a really really good book to bed...
