Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We've had, as usual, a remarkably calm hurricane season here in CO... also we're not much worried about tsunami, earthquakes, or typhoons. Possibly forest fire but it's been pretty wet...
Ha! I have decided to play Japanese music. Perhaps this will mildly annoy Evil Downstairs Neighbors and remind them that I am inconvenienced by their loud rap-fests.

Hey, Sam... I think Ramius is making those symbols unintentionally. But, if you wanted to do it, in Windows click on the Start button, then select Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map . That will bring up a program showing all the special symbols available in Windows, and allow you to copy and paste them into other applications.

I have no idea... :-). To me when I type it they are just smartquotes... But then something clearly goes very wrong with the mapping of the characters to the ascii standard. Or maybe it is sunspots.
To: Ramius
Those still seem to werk. :-) Show off!

Close.
That was my impression of the lady at Little Caesers Pizza asking if I wanted Crazy Bread. I stopped there to pick up a pizza for the kids on my way home. :-)

Well, Jeanne bought some margarita mix to put in a cake or something, which sounds good.
However, I have been mixing the stuff with tequila, not bad!
See you guys tomorrow.

Hehehe... Another way to annoy evil downstairs neighbors is to invest in a pair of good solid wooden clogs. :-).
You do get some wacky winter weather there in CO. The times that I was in Boulder I remember really weird weather... Snows two feet one day, and then it's 75 or 80 and clear the next... Followed by snow the next... Wacked. But it does keep things interesting. And you're right that usually isn't killer type storms.
To: RMDupree
Ohh, ok! ;)
My second guess was going to be Short Round from Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom.
