Yep...I'm pretty pleased.
Matthew has "journal entries" he has to make for spelling, too. He is given a topic and he writes about that topic. His topic this week was "Something that frightened him". He wrote:
"Dear Mom,
I was scared when I was at Grandma's house with a tornado outside. I was really in danger, but what was interesting was when the weatherman passed by[storm chaser]. Next time, I'll buy special basement-digging equipment beforehand."

Today, Msdrby ran into the step-mom of the young Marine I gave my knife to sunday. Turns out Pvt Tom is a knife collector, and seriesly appreciated the HH knife. Imagine that.Perhaps she can get an address for the Marine, so he can be included on future goodie shipments?
For all you folks who will be giving away Hobbit Hole knives, please try to get at least a name, if not more info, on who receives them. That way, we have names behind those knives.
