Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |

Of course, this being Austin, also saw a depressing number of stickers in support of the socialists.
Another tidbit of trivia regarding the stepmom... She has a boy, born at the same hospital as bitty girl, on the same day, and with the same stats (ie. weight, length, etc). Small world!
...but I wouldn't want to paint it.

(g'nite)
I wanted something a little more visible than a 4x6 oval W sticker.
I've been seeing a few of the SwiftVets stickers in the last two weeks. Those guys are sure having an impact. heh heh

Ha! Looks like Luke is going to be a wonderful American consumer! ;^)
Outstanding... !
Oh, saw a Protest Warrior bumper sticker the other day... the one that goes, "Except for this, that, and the other, WAR NEVER SOLVED ANYTHING!"
How exciting? On which house?
Thanks for the laugh, Bear!
On that note, me and my PJs are headed to bed!
Nighty night Hobbit Hole!
ROFLMAO!!
Oh, the one with the back porch! Very Nice! Good luck!
I'm making 10 gallons ( more or less ) of Seafood Gumbo! I'm on the last batch. The Parish Family Festival is this weekend, and this year Gumbo makes it debut. If those folks don't like it, I'll just keep it in my freezer and eat on it all winter!
Kids say the DARNEDEST things!
Last weekend, driving home to the seagull ranch... saw one of those wish-I-coulda-got-it-on-film things:
Just about the time I joined I-5 southbound, I came upon a guy driving a very old rattletrap VW beetle. The guy was yer basic grey pony-tail aging hippie, driving his old beater beetle, and this thing had dozens of bumper stickers all over it, some of which appeared to back to the McGovern campaign. Most of the stickers may have actually been structurally positioned to cover the rust burning through. That poor old beetle was not quite making freeway speed. He even had a couple of overtly angry anti-Bush stickers in the mix of "wiccan" and "green" and other socialist stickers.
I had my Bush/Cheney sticker in the window and I simply smiled over at him as I went by.
Only about a minute later, I came upon another VW Beetle. This one was a fully restored and magnificent showpiece of about a 64 vintage beetle. Mint, show-room condition and very clean. Obvious that alot of work had gone into restoring it. As we drove along, I noticed that the guy driving it was young, maybe early-mid twenties. Short pony tail, and typical professional attire for Seattle from what I could tell. On the back window... a single Bush/Cheney sticker.
I only wish I could have gotten them both in the same frame in a picture. The comparison was so rich, on so many levels. :-)
Good evening, all...
Am later than I expected. The anime club had "technical difficulties" - someone forgot to bring the X-box, then the projector wouldn't work. So we all got to chat about "what's your favorite show" for an hour while they hunted down the building manager.
Grr... you'd think other anime fans would at least be able to remember the names of shows they like. How many times tonight did I say, "It's 'Fruits Basket'. Not 'Fruit Baskets'." - at least a hundred.
