Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I was given a seven-day timeout for an ill-advised comment to the Religion Mod. ;^)

Can't say as I have. What is it? For some, it is biochemical warfare.
Korean pickles- lots of different veggies, often has a heck of a peppery kick.

Ooh, new Hole person! Sounds like you'd be a pretty good fit. Finally, someone younger than me!
Hmmm... you like to read... like anime... writing... lurking on FR... sounds a lot like me!

I thought that WAS behaving! ;^) Then I don't think it means what you think it means!
Wasn't that your second second strike? Perhaps a change in strategy is called for!

Sorry to hear that!
Was anyone injured?
To: ksen
Oh, you did? Is it from Sounchou or Fork? I've found Fork is rather iffy. If you have Fork 40 you may have totally the wrong thing.
44 should come out today... if the ones you have aren't good quality let me know and I'll burn you another cd.
So, tell me what you think! Spoilertext, since Rosie's not there yet.

Hey everybody! I hope you don't mind me just jumping in here... somehow I managed to find the homepage for the Hobbit Hole and I peeked in on the threads. I'm 18, live in WA, was homeschooled but attend Art Institute of Seattle. Reading, anime, spending time (read: lurking) on FR :), video games, writing, church, music and of course LOTR are my interests. .... and... I wish I were a hobbit. *waves* Hey - welcome! Feel free to jump right in, that's what all of us did. I missed your post last night, that happens. If at first we don't respond, post again! There's a lot of simultaneous conversation happening at the same time round here. Welcome to another friend in Washington!

I think it's hopeless, Hair... he's spent enough time around Dwarves, he'll never learn. On the other hand, the Dwarf has learned restraint, so you never know.

Yeah, exactly... I was nearly nineteen when the Hole started. I had not yet realized that I was going to be in school for the next thousand years...
Today I have to go get my car registered, then be at the department at two. I'm working until 7:30 today. Server install. Nice thing to do to a person on her first day, isn't it?

You know, there are those who actually believe that...

Corin, I think you need to 'splain to ksen that annoying the Religion Mod is a good way to get suspended... ksen, learn stealth techniques from Corin, he hasn't been suspended recently.

On the other hand, the Dwarf has learned restraint, so you never know. *ahem* yes, the Dwarf does know when to back off. For the record, the dwarf has never even been warned - over there or elsewhere on FR.
Corin gets in far less fights over actual theology than he does over the actual behavior of other posters.
And let's just leave that there...
To: Corin Stormhands
You took a voluntary time-out for Lent... maybe that's a good thing. Maybe we should do an intervention for ksen, get him to spend less time over there.

I'm getting the Fork ones off of supernova.com. That's the only place I can find them right now because I can't figure out how to get them off of IRC.

What I use is a bittorent client, rather than IRC. If you're getting Fork... well, you probably have the updated version of 40 but the Fork 40 I saw was really bad. Just wrong in places.
I get mine here. This is the client I use. It works really well for me. If you need more info, let me know.

I'll get you a fuller length review of FMA when I take my lunchbreak.
