That's been my "criticism" of the fake ones as well. About 6-7 years ago, I was in downtown Dallas, and saw a 1/2 ton Chevy on a flatbed wrecker. It had 4 flat tires and about 50 bullet holes in every part of the body. What was left of the thing gave you the impression that an "ethnic" individual owned it.
They develop more "character" when the bare steel rusts.
ROFLOL
Painted ones probably look a bit better than the clear sticker versions.
Yawn... morning. I'm looking for an adventure here...
How's the Java coming?
I'm going to ignore it for at least part of the day and have an adventure. I just don't know what adventure yet.
OK!
I'm going to the mountains, by way of a large outlet mall. Back tonight, maybe with pictures. Of the outlet mall, of course.
Just don't go out without your handkerchief!
I've got a camera, a cell phone, money, gas in my car, and a place to go. No worries!
Howdy...I haven't caught up yet.
Spent the whole morning and the afternoon until twenty minutes ago doin' freshman orientation stuff...standing at a table handing out folders with info and answering question. I have the spiel memorized, but no real voice left. And my feet are killing me.
It was an interesting experience, I guess. About an hour into it, I went into autopilot mode, and was mildly surprised that it would suddenly turn out to be an hour later. Considering we were there since just after SEVEN(!!!), I thought time would drag. But...I don't remember much.
Glad you're back and can relax. I'm watching baseball now...need to clean up some more. Miss Cat is sacked out under the coffee table.
Not much going on today. Temps here are in the 70's and the sun is out now.
I don't feel like doing housework.
When I tried to log on the chat last night, I got a notice that I had to install a viewer. I never had to do that before, as far as I know. When our #2 son was home, he got me on the Mozilla Firefox browser instead of IE; could that be what the problem was? What viewer would I need to install? I got some choices depending on my system which is Windows XP, but it wasn't clear what to do after that. I was wondering if I needed to download some system since I changed browsers.
I can't believe they actually DID that! Poor kid...
I'm not sure where he got them., maybe PC Gamer magazine or somewhere, but Joseph has those bullet hole stickers on his bedroom door! LOL!
Mmmm. Looks good, Ruthy! We had bacon for brunch today. I also made some of Rosie's Almond Flour Pancakes and 2J's Flaxseed Pancakes. They were vey good! I think I prefer the Almond for the Pancakes, and will do the Flaxseed ones for the 'hamburger rolls' like 2J suggested.
Any computer geeks online?
I need some advice.
My mother asked me to come and look at her computer. Ugh, it is a mess. There is spyware and adware out the wazoo on it. I ran AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy on it but it is still a mess. I tried loading AVG anti-virus on it but it won't let me and her current mcaffee subscription is out of date.
I don't know where to start or what to do next. Can anyone try pointing me in the right direction?
Thanks.
If it's REALLY messed up, it may not be worth trying to clean...might be better off starting with a fresh install.
There ARE a few other decent free antivirus programs, though. If she can get online, try http://housecall.trendmicro.com - I use that one a lot.
Stupid question, but did you completely update Ad-Aware and Spybot before running 'em?
2Js the one that did the almond flour pancakes! I've never even tried those. Should, one of these days...but since I'm in Phase 2, I usually just make buckwheat pancakes. Mmmmm...love them! I'm gonna have them tomorrow.
