Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
" "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.""
ROFL! That's my favorite part :) I have to watch that movie again. . .
"And now I'll just restore the UN members with my Bat-Rehydrator. . ."
I was always hoping that the Bat-Rehydrator got lost during the shark attack.
"What if Vader used the Force to polarize Wolverine's skeleton in opposite directions, causing his body to be torn apart by the magnetic repulsion?"
Hmmm, not sure you can do that to adamantium because of its chemical properties. Magneto's been able to control Wolverine's body but not rip it apart. But even if Vader could do that, he'd have to think to do it in time before Wolverine closed the distance and sliced him and diced him. Or as Wolverine put it,
"Hey, bub, I know what you're thinkin'. 'He's hurt and he's five meters away from me, and I've got a full clip of ammo in my rifle. Question is: can I kill Wolverine before he can reach me an' cut me into shish-kebab with those freaky claws of his?' Well, bub, Wolverine is virtually unkillable. Wolverine's claws are adamantium, the strongest metal known--capable of slicin' through vanadium like a hot knife through butter. An' five meters o' floor ain't much distance at all--fer me. . ."
Well, I'm not qualified to pronounce a winner in the superhero fashion war :) But speaking of heroes with fashion issues, how about Captain Ultra?
PS: Oh, yeah, I was gonna add, when Kenshin analyzes his opponent's ability he's still limited in his analysis to coming up with physical counters, whereas Batman can come up with electrical weapons, gas weapons, bioweapons, etc. This is really where I see Batman having the biggest advantage. I'll give Kenshin the edge on analyzing the hand-to-hand part of the encounter, though.
"He should keep it in his Bat Belt....unless the only way he'd encounter shart/barracuda would be if the Batcopter were in the drink."
I think if that happens, though, a dolphin shows up to throw himself in the shark's way :)
Bat Dolphin?
Yep :) That was from "Wolverine: Alone", where all the other X-Men have been captured and Logan infiltrates the Hellfire Club through the basement to rescue them.
((((HOBBIT HOLE DWELLERS!))))
"As he does, he's thinking "Still have the weapons in the cape and boots...""
Batman makes James Bond look unequipped in the gadgets department :)
"I was always hoping that the Bat-Rehydrator got lost during the shark attack."
LOL! "Where's the hope of the free world now?"
I also like the end where LBJ calls up Batman to ask him if he wants to stump for him, but Batman explains he's already been contacted by the "other candidate" and he's afraid he's nonpartisan :)
And then there's the scene where the Navy sells a used nuclear submarine to a customer using a PO Box, who turns out to be the Penguin, and the Secretary of the Navy upon discovering this asks Batman if that was a bad idea :)
See ya later, Alkhin!
Doh!
"Bat Dolphin?"
LOL! I guess it was just a regular dolphin who happened to be there to save Batman and Robin after Joker & Co. had magnetized them to the buoy and fired the torpedo at them. "Poor, noble, creature. . ."
Maybe Aquaman sent him. :)
That's probably my second-favorite Wolverine solo issue, after "Wolverine Limited Series" #4 where he assassinates the entire Ninja clan single-handedly.
"Maybe Aquaman sent him. :)"
Hey, I never thought of that. . .
LOL! You just made me think of this spoof "Superfriends" commmercial Cartoon Network shows. Aquaman and Wonder Woman have been captured and tied up by the Legion of Doom.
Aquaman: I'm afraid my ability to talk to fish is of no use to free us, Wonder Woman!
Wonder Woman: [rolls eyes]
I was just thinking the Atlantic just acted more mature...
