Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Umph....

LOL Good morning, Sunshine!
*blinking*

I slept in a drug-induced stupor all night...but my eye doesn't hurt this morning. Hopefully they'll take this patch off today...may be tomorrow, though, he said.
When are they gonna do kitty's surgury? Is it planned yet?
So, do we need to order two of these?
Heh he he...
Good morning Corin.
This injury doesn't worry me like the last one did. For one thing, it's off the side of my pupil, not right in my field of vision. I could see fine even right after the injury occured.
Also, the last one healed up with very little residual effects...this one should too, especially since they are patching it.
Last time scared me because I'd never had an eye injury before.
Heh...that's about how I felt when the alarm went off this morning.
But I have coffee. I'm slowly being cured.
I have the eye surgery appointment set. After my payday and fitting into his schedule it isn't till after Labor Day.
There are a lot of animal expenses that seem very necessary; Bay's colic... Fixing Gidget's leg would have been one, if the cat had ~injured~ his eye so it was an emergency.... But I really have mixed feelings about doing this eye surgery. Estimate $470 at the low, $670 at the high end if there are complications. I thought it would be cheaper, like less than $200, but he said it's a lot more involved than just pulling the eye out of the socket. Sure it's funny looking, but it doesn't seem to bother the cat. The vet says Glaucoma is painful.... but I see no sign of that or sensitivity in the cat, unless it is something more subtle like headaches, but he seems to be a happy enough cat. Crabby at the dog, but he purrs and snuggles and hunts and chases birds he'll never catch.... He seems normal.
~sigh~
How's your kitty?
The one that had the surgery earlier this year?
So far so good...she's been happy and I haven't noticed any unusual bumps lately! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I guess. Chances are it'll come back sooner rather than later, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
She's too fat...but that's another story.
Good! Been wondering!
Gotta go! Jedis are up, time to start breakfast then school. See you guys later!
Morning.
I'm so tired... got to get some caffeine into me. I made a lovely quiche last night but if my stomach doesn't wake up, I won't want to eat.
Today's two-class day. No way I'll be home much before six, and I have laundry that really needs to be done...
I'm new around here, my brother (TalonDJ) figured I'd enjoy hanging out. Anyway, I'm a final year veterinary student, so I'm curious as to your kitty's eye. I take it that he's got glaucoma, his eye is bulging to some extent, and he's scheduled to have his eye removed. Do you know what the cause of the glaucoma was?
Welcome, Empress!
We like Talon. Were you homeschooled too?
Welcome to the Hobbit Hole.
(but be warned, never trust an Elf)
Indeed I was, definitely wouldn't trade the experience.
I don't tend to make a hobbit of it. :)
Neither would I!
Did your brother just convince you to sign up? And do you like Tolkien, perchance? Not that we talk much about him these days.
