Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I need more spiral trees for outside...didja see any?
To: JenB
Well, those all sound good. I like Thai first, Chinese second, Italian a very close third, and Mexican fourth, probably, and maybe German fifth, Indian sixth, and Irish seventh--approximately. And lembas is in there somewhere.
Hmmm--that just gave me an idea, too: broccoli with melted cheese toppings on pizza. . .

To: Corin Stormhands
No, but I haven't been looking. I'm just after a simple, but tall, artificial tree.

must...have...lights...
Actually we could use a new tree for inside. But we'll probably wait until after Christmas for the sales then. For one thing, right now we have absolutely NO place to put anything else.
And I have to remember to buy my animatronic pink flamingo...(I am not making that up)

EGE: Very nice set there, very nice indeed. Hmmmm. Shoot-Moot -

Well, we want one for the deck all summer long...but yeah...he might show up at Christmas.

We're seriesly getting rid of stuff. Children's clothing and toy consignment sale is in September. We're taking two rocking chairs, two chests, tons of toys and clothes and more...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
That was fascetious. The pepperoni and cheese made things very greasy.

Eww. Your tastebuds are shot.
Irish? Is there more to Irish cooking than potatoes and beer?

We love Clean Sweep but they don't come to Virginia.

He just called tonight and said that when he went to register, he found out that all the AI classes were already FULL! He's going to grovel to one of the professors to try to get in one of the classes. I think he starts next week, too.
He said he found a sofa at Salvation Army and asked my opinion. He said it was cleaned and only $100! I told him to go for it!! He's looking into getting an inexpensive kitchen table and chairs, too. I found an all hardwood set on the J.C. Penney site for only $200! Don't know if he'll look around town or just go ahead and order it.
