The Hobbit Hole XIV - Hill and Water Under Sky

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Hill and water under sky

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I just hope Roy isn't going to die, he's making himself conspicuous.

Well, he's only got 7 more episodes so if he wants to become the Leader he better step it up a notch.

There's a movie coming out next year... which is why I think that Ed won't get his limbs back, Al won't get his body back, Roy will probably survive (the interaction is just too good to miss!) and probably one of the Homunculus will survive. Wrath is my bet.

Someone's going to need to be The Leader, so if not Roy, who? (Major Armstrong. Oh, there's a nightmare)

Think they may pull an Escaflowne and have the movie only vaguely resemble the tv show?

No. The Esca-movie tried to tell the 8-hour anime story in an hour and a half. The FMA movie is set two years after the end of the show (Older Brother 18, Younger Brother 17), so it'll be a totally different story... I saw a site somewhere with Ed-from-the-movie; the drawing style was the same but they changed his wardrobe. It was also impossible to tell whether he had his limbs back or not.

Ok, I've just made some cookies... checked 'em and the files play at this end. I'm including a surprise too.

I'm going to work now. Probably be back in four or five hours, depending on if I stop at the thrift shop on the way home.

Men have it so much easier when it comes to fast loss.

True, but in your case you didn't have 50 lbs. or more to lose. My current goal is to get back to where I was last year after I'd lost that initial 50 lbs.

Per pronunciation of pecan : DAMN don't you hate it when Yankees screw up the language?? (present company of Yankees excepted)

I get that a lot too. Ticks me off, like I don't know its an Injun word and is pronounced 'puh-CAHN'. Leave it up to foreign pronunciation to make it sound something nasty.

Pants like that deserve a good Vulcan Nut Kick.

As an aside, my 7 year old son had his first soccer practice yesterday. My wife asked him today if he was sore at all from all the running they were doing. His answer?

"Nah, don't you remember that one time you told someone in church I was a tough nut?"

I think I'll call him TN for a while. ;^)

Hmmm, all of a sudden I'm only seeing 50 posts to a page. That's weird...
