My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Your voice was heard
silencing my love...
you found my desire
set in stone
I will laugh softly...

You are my joy
my cherished love and desire
tenderly unlocking my reverie to
read my thoughts and to pen the page
of poignant memories
soul thoughts
awaiting
the golden day...

Love set in stone
even this has worth,
a memory etched forever in time
remembered in stone and rhyme,
an ornament in a bowered garden,
where lovers might still be ardent.

To: Old Sarge
An ornament in a bowered garden
hung in a clustered clump
an old dried rose
wrapped in antique lace
your image burned into my brow
my heart an open book
your name etched upon each page
old and tattered with their age
golden is their worth
for me there never be another
my browned eyed precious lover.

Good morning, everyone.

I've had personal experience with both. It takes 3 people to get the cat to take a pill. :-)

BORNE TO SHOP

Four stores and several tears ago
I set forth upon a mission
conceived in ignorance and
dedicated to the proposition that
all men are creaated equal
to women.
I then was thus engaged to test
whether one man - or any man -
so motivated and so dedicated
can long endure.
"It is altogether fitting and proper,"
I told my wife,
"that I should do this."
And so I ventured out to shop,
My wallet raised on high;
"Bring on sachets and negligees!"
Became my battle cry.
The hours passed, the goods amassed,
My feet began to growl,
And then before the second floor
I just threw in the towel.
"Enough!" I cried, "No more! Desist!
You force me to confess
A woman CAN outshop a man . . .
I humbly acquiesce!"
The moral to be drawn from this
Is not all that complex;
It seems bizarre - but women are
Indeed the stronger sex!

Good morning, Sam.
Cute poem today. Will get to the tunes when I fire up the MAC. Hope you have a good day.
Kinda overcast today. We will probably get rain.

Silence in the Wind
The wind across the ocean tends to scuff the rippled tops,
And then beats out a rhythm on the shoreline where it stops.
The open freedom of the sea breeds silence in the wind,
But Oceans conflict with the land then lets the silence end.
There is a rule that says a conflict will make noise,
That only ends when soldiers lie down staring at their toys.
If you should hear some noise erupt when children are at play,
It only means that they are having fun upon that day.
Its normal to have voices raised before there is solution,
And silence is the sound you hear before the revolution.
So shouts and cries of protest are a welcome sound to hear,
And quiet, silent, staring eyes are things that you should fear.

(No, we're not losing any air from our tires. That's just the "girly-men" hissing and sputtering....)
To: NicknamedBob
