My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

(Love lost in shattered glass, roses laying on the floor...)
To: Radix
I do suppose I should repose
Over words I read this day
Instead I feel compelled to write
Of things I know beyond the sight
Issued by one who is not known
Only I can truly see it seems to me
Inside that tangled web
Things unknown in a tangled web
cause a spinning in the head
one of dread of the unseen
trips to heartbreak land
stars in our eyes and love
whispering her alluring song
we go along -sometimes
for the ride and found we
have lost our hide
skinned and raw we hold
a laced and bleeding heart
try to remember the good
before the rift tore us apart
and left us bleeding on the rack
And back we come for another wack
at the love trip of our lives
star filled eyes and joy in our heart
for there is nothing like having
someone fill our heart
with I love you-your're precious to me
you're worth more than a bucket of gold
So in your repose just suppose
there will come a day
when joy will sing
your heart will zing
and all is right with
your world once again
and innocence will ride
the horse on another course
of romance -go ahead and take
a chance live life to the fullest
we go around only once
get your gusto now

Summer ends
Autumn looms
Vacation ends in storm
Mother does not care
Miss your breath
Love the way you show to me
Fury and beauty at once
Seasons change, and so do I
Not at once
Inevitably
Circuitous
Reasoning
Puzzles do abound
Weeds and chaff
Life and death
I read therefore
I write and more

(Not all Muslims are terrorists, but so far all of the terrorists have been Muslim.)
To: Radix
I read the lines the others write
and often take so much delight
in words of jest or loving sounds
the songs of Mother Nature abound
I like the songs of blackest night best
when critters chatter in the wind
and light up the dark black night
with little glows from fairy tails
And so we do rhyme
at night it is the time
to sharpen wits and
old quill tips
dip them in the deepest well
of memory and record
the lonely dances and the
best with your lover at your chest

Good nite poets
May the sweet aroma of Lily of the Valley fill your dreams caress your face tenderly lull you to sleep in the safety of knowing love...
~ Dream a Little ~ Love a Lot ~
I remember the color your hair was... the color of spiced rum With memories of you walking without me in gentle oriental rain Left me with dreams of being lost in your embrace. The peace in your eyes shone through I was lost, lost in your eyes ..........lost in your embrace... Dreams of you at Indian Twilight...

Me Pet Dislikes

Me pet dislikes the neighbours
when they bang upon the wall,
me pet dislikes graffitists
with their aerosolish scrawl.
Me pet dislikes Kit-e-Kat,
dog biscuits, marrowbone.
Me pet doesn't want for Trill or nuts
and doesn't growl or groan.
Me pet dislikes demolition men;
doesn't wallow in a bog.
me pet's not veg or animal,
though a bit of him's a frog.
Me pet's name it is Alfred
and, unlike other pets,
he doesn't need no exercise
or visits to the Vet's.
He's much opposed to climbin' trees
and is quite averse to water,
and unlike most of Alfred's ilk
he's not engulfed by mortar.
He doesn't fetch the daily paper,
retrieve a stick or lick
but Alfred is a solid friend
as Alfred is a brick.

Me Pet Dislikes
LOL what a fun poem today! Never heard of a pet brick before now. Well, why not people bought Pet Rocks.
Listening to the Gospel tunes now. Thanks so much.
Coffee and donuts are great, too. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Horizon of Life
Across this horizon of life
the length from emptiness to love
found and
confirms every thought you carried
Whispered the wind...

Animal Pills
How to give the cat a pill
Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.
Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.
Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.
Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.
Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.
Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.
Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.
Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band.
Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus jab. Throw Tee-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.
Ring fire brigade to retrieve cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil-wrap.
Tie cat's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Hold head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down.
Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.
Arrange for SPCA to collect cat and ring local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.
How to give the dog a pill
Wrap it in bacon.
