My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I'll be in and out until a little later, Milady. There's much to do before playtime.
So I must confine things to a few drive-by posts, until then.

To: Old Sarge
My valiant knight
they furrowed brow
tells stories not spoken
but hangs heavy as your cloak
hanging from slumping shoulders
war worn, tired from bloody battle
of clashing blades, slashing swords,
yet holding forth a stalwart posture
of honor while bent from battle
on this night-come
my knight to maiden's chambers
tower high away from the clamor
to the midnight hour of magic moments
Lay thy bloodied beaten head
upon the softness of my bed
and lay in peace 'til the cock doth crow
then off to battle thou must go
White Knight honor to uphold
bravely striding before the fold
leading your company to victory
and bestow your world with fealty...

Darksheare of the knighthood stands
a bent and broken man
his love has walked away from him
in the footstep hers alone
a single rose lay on the stone
A sadden Darksheare heavy of heart
with down cast eyes and broken heart
cloaked in his finery a single tear
falls near
Crested on his breastplate bold
this story of the Knights of Old
Darksheare from the Land of Rings
he doth do many things.

Thanks!
I'm going to have to beat the scanner into submission and scan the new drawings.

So many more deeds to do,
so much more road to take,
how much longer must this road
lead me to your side, for your sake?
The armor is bulky, which saves my hide,
chafing and scraping my bones and my pride;
my livery soiled and torn with the trail,
moving from dust and dirt into trial.
My steed, my partner of wars beyond count,
a tired knight never had a wearier mount,
but he will bear me, without complaint,
all in silence and al lin restraint,
as I share my frugal meal with him,
bread and water, for vigor and vim
for the manor is just beyond the next rise,
when I see the stars of your eyes.

A moment of rest
along the way
the White Knight and steed
weary indeed
the castle road a long winding one.
Honor the quest for this lonely one
esteem, redemption for the dishonored one
The battle the quest,
her Ladyship the prize
the tired knight looks to her eyes.
Many battles to win
many dreams to dream many mountains to climb
much frolic and glee
with my lady by me
fair knight's honor outshine the stars
and rivers deep beyond comprehension
when dreams take flight into the night
the two are one -complete and right.
To: bentfeather
The respite done,
a waning sun
must reach the gate before
the closing gun,
Purpose drives me,
twilight guides me
with lanterns along
the citadel's road.
The streets and lanes
are quiet, until
the hoofbeats stir
the folk from sills
and doorways to see,
my steed and me,
forelocks tugged in silent greet,
a gesture made, no less sweet,
Dusted, encrusted,
armor and bloodshed,
the gate is nigh,
to bath, to board,
to feast, to sigh,
to greet, and meet,
and see the stars from your tower
once again.

To: Old Sarge
Alas, fair knight
the night is bright
and your Lady is burdened
with duties of court
sign this- read that
the Lord Mayor is fat
as a rat
Her Ladyship tires
the hour is late
the guards are asleep
guarding the gate
come gather me close
to thy breast
chambers are calling
sleep comes soon
a kiss on thy brow
a bow to the night
star light magic
plays now
we watch in repose
the close of the hour
in the Ivory Tower.
Good night sweet Knight.
Touch the Rose...
To: Old Sarge
That's beautiful Sarge. Is it a Sarge original?

Yes, but it's called Big K now, but same thing. This one is going strong.
To: bentfeather
Ok I'll play "Knights of Old, too. :-)
KNIGHT IN RUSTY ARMOR
Long ago in days of old
There lived a knight
Who wasn't quite as bold
As a knight should be.
He rode an old gray mare called Bess,
Searching for a damsel in distress
Just to see if he
Could set her free.
See the knight in rusty armour ride
To her aid.
Trusty sword is hanging at his side
With a rusty blade.
Up the tower steps he sneaked,
But as he moved,
His rusty armour squeaked
Such a mournful note
And all the sentries at their posts
Thought it must have been the castle ghost.
They jumped for their lives
In the moat.
So the knight in rusty armour won
His fair maid,
Had no need to draw his trusty sword
With a rusty blade.
As he bent to kiss his bride,
He found that he was
Rusted up inside
In his battle dress
And I can't guess
How they still got married and had twins.
They came in tins.
Every suit of armour ever made
Has a kink:
Chain mail pants with a missing link.
