My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Mandy, Mandy, you smiling cat.
You devious, wicked, naughty old bat.
Only you know what goes on in your mind.
It's beyond doubt, you're one of a kind.
When I ask if you're from another place,
a fiendish smile creeps over your face.
20 years of secrets, no regrets.
You'll go to your grave thinking we're the pets.

Ah cat pictures, very nice. Thank you.
To: All

Wild you are to run free
in the low evening sun
the wind blowing through
your mane and the grass
allows you to trample her
under your night hooves
Free to run into the star lit night
with your hearts delight
free as nature intended you to be
oh you wondrous beast of the field
how lucky you are to be born free

Those pics are, of course, Mandy, the cat spoken
of in the poem. She used to do such evil things, but
she's quite old now (20, as the poem states), so
she's not so bad, but back in the day... oh boy.

Imagining I could slide across
Over the rainbow to the end
There would be my pot of gold
The sweet love of my dear friend
The rainbow's end is right here in Oregon. ;-)

I like that one too. I've often wondered what's wrong
with me, I'll be only 20 soon & I love music from
decades before I was born. Perhaps I'm just displaced...

Summer Days

A masterful painting
Of colors exhibited
On the horizon
Above the empty lawn chair
Sitting alone on
The lonely endless extended stretch
Along the sandy beach
As evening comes
To this tropical paradise,
Where many come
To escape reality,
To find romance
Or to seek love
But if they did not
Bring it with them
They probably will
Not find it here, but
You never know
What lies ahead,
How much heat
Will be experienced or
Who might be waiting during
These long, hot
Summer days.

Morning Sam.
Lovely beach scene. I am so far inland I never get to the beach.
Nice little poem, too. Thanks for tunes, Breakfast and poetry.
To: SAMWolf
Oh love Happy Organ!! Love all the tunes. :)
To: snippy_about_it
Thanks.
My muse felt kind enough to drop by at a sane time for once, I'd been drawing.

How it happened, I was sketching, and had an image in my head.
Like one of those movie sequences where a lightning flash reveals something to be other than it appears.
Saw a man in a battered duster, and then a stray cat, and they're one and the same.
*shrugs*
Weird.

Good morning, Lair!
I Abide and Abide and Better Abide
Sir Thomas Wyatt
I abide and abide and better abide,
And after the old proverb, the happy day;
And ever my lady to me doth say,
"Let me alone and I will provide."
I abide and abide and tarry the tide,
And with abiding speed well ye may.
Thus do I abide I wot alway,
Nother obtaining nor yet denied.
Ay me! this long abiding
Seemeth to me, as who sayeth,
A prolonging of a dying death,
Or a refusing of a desir'd thing.
Much were it better for to be plain
Than to say "abide" and yet shall not obtain.
