My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

But in my skin you are with me
even though you can not see
the sobbing in the heart of me
because I love you so
You're not with me in the day
and night time is so far away
I catch you in my dreams
and hold you 'til the dream's seams
burst into reality and the
moon blows the sun.
Off in the afar we are in the
stillness of outer space
we two souls do embrace
to share the loving of the ages
two soul mates from ancient pages
writ by sages and by scribes
we two loves do abide
on the astral plane above
'til the moon blows the sun.
The riddle then is how do we
express this love we share
this bonding of the souls
we be ever in eternity.
The wait is hard the ache severe
I just want to be near to hear
your laughter, kiss your brow
when night drops her velvet gown
to dance 'til dawn is gone and then
comes back again and then
'til the moon blows the sun.

Traversed unfruited plain
Here was a special pain
None can see this part of me
Instead they see iniquity
Iniquity and mystery
Just a little part of me
At times shown more
Henceforth in metaphor
Lessons learned might amaze
See myself from a daze
Paragraphs to go before I sleep

Candle Dream
A candle laid down as canal, a river filed with wax.
The eye looks down the length of it, and haze conceals its tracks.
The other way is just the same, the end far out of sight.
This waxen river is of time, and flickers with a light.
For stitched along the length of it are wicks of guttered flame,
They burn down to the surface and ignite one just the same.
Each flame thus passes on to others at its base,
The energy and spirit for the fate each has to face.
Each one a single entity, connected in the seam,
Just as the multitude creates a glowing presence in the stream.
A glow that reaches Heavenward and bathes it in its light,
As silently the flames march ever onward in the night.

We hold the best and sorest part
inside in dark, where we once held
the beauty of our loves bloomed full
and wanted all the world to see
the beauty that was you and me.
In verse we revel in the things
that might had been
but something changed the loving times
and we are left to sing our rhymes.

Variety is the spice of life
I'll take my slice
there may be strife
I live my life to the full
the bottom sometimes
is the rule
but I must feel alive in me
and loving you does it to me

Good nite poets
May the sweet aroma of Lily of the Valley fill your dreams caress your face tenderly lull you to sleep in the safety of knowing love...
~ Dream a Little ~ Love a Lot ~
I remember the color your hair was... the color of spiced rum With memories of you walking without me in gentle oriental rain Left me with dreams of being lost in your embrace. The peace in your eyes shone through I was lost, lost in your eyes ..........lost in your embrace... Dreams of you at Indian Twilight...

Arched Across The Sky

Rainbows created my imagination
As it arched across the sky
On one end there sat you
At the other end, there sat I
Imagining I could slide across
Over the rainbow to the end
There would be my pot of gold
The sweet love of my dear friend
The rainbow is a connection
Like a bridge from me to you
It appears joined by sunlight
Then the grey skies turn to blue
Arriving after the rainstorms
It became so evident to me
Thoughts of love follow rainbows
They arched right across the sea
A colourful arching rainbow
It has no gate, it has no door
It reaches from friend to friend
It arches from shore to shore
I smiled up today at the sky
How far would my loving smile go
It slid right over to the other side
The other end of the coloured rainbow
Hope

Oh the party was a hit. Lots of friends and family. The food was catered also, there was a DJ in the afternoon.
Gram-ma, danced with the kids and it was recorded for posterity. The weather was miserable for most of the day, it poured down rain to start the morning off. During the day it sprinkled lightly but we stayed outside. There were plastic shelters up but a strong wind kept then coming loose from their moorings.
Today her mother drives her off to her new apartment near Nigrara Falls. She is going up early to look for a job.
I guess I will buy her a computer she needs to have one. It's a big step leaving home. I will worry about her.

Gram-ma, danced with the kids and it was recorded for posterity. That could come back to haunt you. :-) Hopefully it wasn't the "new" dances.

Oh 60s stuff- you know foot loose and free swinging. :-)
I know I walk this path alone
I have no place to call my own
Why does it seem I'm cursed to roam?
Where is a place I can be home?
I wandered aimlessly today
I bear the scars that still remain
Why has my love turned to pain
Please take me in out of this rain..

Restless wanderer under the night
Bound to be gone before first light
Loaded with wes and cares that are many
The tears that he shed, h'was sold for a penny
His travel stained jacket, battered old hat
And a rare lazy smile like a wizened stray cat
He turns on his heels, his soul seems so frail
And with a nod and wave, he returns to his trail

Where in the wandering night we go
over the star humps under the glow
down a winding, bumpy road
the turn of the toad in his black hat
the side-winder grin of the old cat
space wandering these odd souls
with turned up toes and long skinny nose
they whiz and they whine
skipping though the white rime
on their merry way they go
like something from Fairy Tale Land
or little Hobbits on the run
digging holes in the ground in which
to hide and tease the wood's animals
wild like a naughty bratty child...
Oh these brazen little beings
none of them without feelings
always fleeing on the go
they run from who they do not know
And where do the Hobbits little friends
the gnomes hang their hats
and clean their brooms
groom their hairs and comb mustaches
hug their honeys by the ashes
Strange happenings beyond the doors
little cakes on the floor
rosy cheeked childen by the door
wandering round the Dimensional Door
Wandering, wandering evermore.
