How'd I manage to miss that one? :) Okay, I'm looking it up in my "Science Fiction Illustrated Encyclopedia" now, and sure enough, it's listed on the page after the "Thunderbirds" :)
"Captain Scarlet and the Mysterions: 1968. In this further SuperMarionation series, the inhabitants of Mars--the Mysterions--misinterpret Earth's first landing there as an invasion. They attempt to infiltrate and eventually destroy the threat by converting two top Earth agents into Mysterion Fifth Columnists. In the case of Captain Black they succeed, and he becomes the series' villian--opposed by the Mysterions' failed conversion, the now immortal Captain Scarlet."
Sounds cool!
BTW, "The Thunderbirds" animation always kinda scared me--looked *too* weird.
I saw a trailer for a movie that is based on the Thunderbirds. I think it is also called The Thunderbirds. Bill Paxton plays the father of the family that 'keeps the peace', or something like that, but when their base is attacked, it's left to the youngest brother (who all the other brothers think can't handle it) to rescue them. At least that's the gist of the movie that I got from the trailer!
