I'm thinkin' you have fluid built up behind your eardrum...the sudafed will help dry that up a bit and perhaps relieve some of the pressure.
I hope it helps...if it does, let me know...I could use an encouraging word and if I helped ya, it would make me feel real good.
"I'm thinkin' you have fluid built up behind your eardrum..."
That was my first thought, too. I sometimes get that when I have sinus problems. Sometimes it helps if I lie down in a way that lets the fluid drain in the opposite direction, which can take some experimenting to see which way increases the pressure vs. which way decreases it. 2J already mentioned the warm washcloth. The only other thing I know of to help with that is eardrops--garlic oil and/or mullein flower oil can be used twice a day as long as there's no rupture.
I know that's unpleasant--I feel for ya, Jen. Hope that clears up soon. I'll be praying on it.
The washcloth's helping already! Thanks!
Howdy 2J...how ya doin'? I haven't talked with ya for awhile. Man, it's hotter than blazes here (didn't we say that when you were here too?). Over 100 again this afternoon at our house. We're going to walk the dogs down at the waterfront tonight (Ruston Way -- the other side of our peninsula). It was at least 10 degrees cooler this afternoon there and it's on the east side of the peninsula with a big hill behind it, so it will be shady and the Sound should keep it very cool.
