Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
BTW, I didn't get your message yet.
Did you get the one I sent you via e-mail?
Well howdy yerself. How're things in the peoples republic?
I volunteered for the Senate Campaign of Ej Pipkin, who is running against Barbara Mikulski for US Senate from Maryland. (per my tagline)
So you have a:
Pippin for Pipkin
bumper sticker right.
No, but you can make one for me (hint)
"BTW, I didn't get your message yet.
Did you get the one I sent you via e-mail?"
Yep! Sent a reply via email about a half hour ago. Check your regular email and let me know if you still didn't get it.
I e-mailed you from my computer at work, whici h=is a government compter and it posted on the general e-mail here, I hope I was the only recipient of it. but I'll freepmail you my e-mail address so it won't come to the address at work.
Thanks for the email from Lt. Paul. Dovehunting on Saddam's hunting grounds--LOL! :)
Hee! Hee! Hee!
"I e-mailed you from my computer at work, whici h=is a government compter and it posted on the general e-mail here"
Not good.
I think Lum's done by the same manga-ka as Ranma, Takahashi Rumiko. I don't like her other series that I've seen, her style's too simple to be art, and the other storylines can't carry themselves the way Ranma does.
Put another way, even if the guy who did Kenshin, Watsuki Nobuhiro, did a really lame series, his art would make it worth at least reading.
Back from the doc... got more antibiotics. I either have an infection, or just bad wax buildup, but she couldn't check because there's some indication I may have a burst blood vessel in there.
One hour until the dentist. What a Monday.
I hope the antibiotics help. If it turns out you've got a burst blood vessel what did she say happens then?
Yeah, that's the woman. (Takahashi's her family name, remember Japanese names are backwards?). She's done "Ranma", "Maison Ikkou", and "Inu-Yasha", as well as some other stuff I think. Sigh... all those are available here, and are mostly boring, but Watsuki's new series, I can't even find a scanlation for...
The doctor says if it's not cleared up in a week, go see someone - I told her I was moving and she said find someone anyway. But that the antibiotics should kick in quickly, so if it's still painful Thursday they ought to be able to fit me in before I go.
Okay, I resent it to your private email.
I figured it was backwards--I was seeing it reversed on some sites--I just wasn't sure which one was the backwards version and which was the forwards! :) Chinese names can be like that, too. Like for instance, one style I've studied was taught by a teacher named Yip Man, so his sons are named Yip Chun and Yip Ching. Gets confusing sometimes!
I hope the antibiotic clears it up. Is it feeling better than the past couple days? Hmmm, maybe you can get the dentist to give your ear some of that painkiller they use for your teeth :)
Hey, I just realized, that backwards-naming convention is used by the Sith Lords: Darth Sidious, Darth Vader, etc.
but Watsuki's new series, I can't even find a scanlation for...
Waitaminute, you mean the writer for Kenshin has a new series?!!! I gotta find that! :)
I thought "Darth" was a title. Like "Sir".
I think most Asian names are reversed. Not Indian, I suppose... at least I can generally tell what country a name is from. And which one's the personal name, for Japanese names, at least...
Oh, yeah, "Boku Renkin" (Armored Alchemist). This was very confusing when I first heard about Fullmetal Alchemist. Throw in the currently popular in the US series "Full Metal Panic" and you've got loads of confusion for a poor fangirl...
But like I said, I can't find even a scanlation. Or what it's about, or anything.
That can't make searching any easier! Sounds like alchemy is popular in anime.
Looks like you're right about Darth being a title:
Darth--Title taken by Sith Lords. Early Sith Lords did not carry this title as it had not been created yet, but then later Lords took the title as they saw fit. From Darth Bane onward, all Sith Lords took the title Darth. This is also the time when the tradition of one master one apprentice began.
You killed it...
Back from the dentist and unable to speak, eat, drink or anything else. On the plus side, it's also numbed my ear.
