Oh, 2J! You're such a sweetheart...
It's OK, really. I still don't know what she thinks of me...it's been a little odd, since she's not really a super talkative person or anything and hasn't been that easy to get to know...but I'm not gonna worry about it.
Hey, I got fresh blueberries last night, for the first time this year. They're down to about a dollar fifty a pint. Had some with a mock danish for breakfast this morning. Very good!
It's been a rough morning...
You know, I'm a hard person to get to know for some reason...I'm all the time saying something accidentally offensive.
But if someone tries to get to know me, then I'm usually so grateful for their effort that I try real hard to be a good friend.
Well, a woman in my Sunday school class tried. She really seemed to want to have a friendship with me...one of the few that really seemed to warm up to me especially after the fight I had with the shrink (which polarized people toward me to an extent).
When I came back to SS after that fight, it was very stressful and she was one of the ones that tried to make me feel welcome and I just appreciated her so much.
Well, she got pneumonia and died last night...
I'm just all tore up. Friends are just so hard to come by...true friends don't care about your cluttered home or that you might ocassionally blurt out an awkward opinion to a "higher up" in your church...they just care about you for you.
She may be in shock over meeting your whole family. Does she have many siblings?
SSQ is a quiet type, so it was a bit of a jolt for him to meet my family. He has 5 siblings (I have 7), but he's on the tail end of the family, and the older ones had grown and left town by the time he was in middle and high school, so he was used to his quiet. HAH! My older siblings mostly stayed around, with their kids, so it was always chaos at my house. He musta liked it, OK, though; 31 years later, and he's still here!
