Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Tree and flower and leaf and grass

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Morning Rosie. Can someone send me extra-strength caffeine?

No! I need it all for myself!

But I'm going to be up for 18 hours straight! At least! I got to the office just after seven... won't be to bed until 1 eastern, at least.

Ah.... OK - I won't be. I have to go down to Vancouver WA today for work. I need to get out of here in a little over an hour....

Can I have your Red Bull since you don't want it?

Gotta Beta fish...my friend with the bunny, remember, I take care of her bunny when she goes on vacation? Well, I'm taking care of her bunny and her beta fish.

Gorgeous fish, but the only instructions were "Feed a pinch of food every evening".

The bowl is spotless clean...should it stay that way for 10 days?

Good! Vey Good.

Chickens aren't pleased...I enclosed them in a pen. It even has a top on it and they can't fly out. The new girls are fliers...and they were teaching the old girls bad habits.

Maybe if it is a really little bowl. But Beta fish lish naturally in the muddy puddles of rice paddies, so they aren't a fish that ~needs~ clean clear water. If it's a tiny bowl, the best way to go would be to keep a glass of water next to it so it is the same temp, and dip out and replace a little each day (leave him in there and use a little dipper) IF THE WATER IS NOT CHLORINATED.. ..

If you are on city water system.... don't change it unless you can find his water treatment stuff, or have some bottled water. Chlorine is bad.
