Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I am glad she won at the horse races!!!! That sounds like a lot of fun.... whereas if you'd said losing at the horse races - I dunno if that would have sounded like near as much fun! LOL

These night meetings things are going to wear them down, especially once they realize they aren't accomplishing anything at them. They wear me down regardless.

I'm green with envy over your weather!

She's got a system. 10 races...she had 10 payouts. Picked 'em every time. Shake your head and wonder kind of stuff.

Funny...that's a lot bigger than I remember Ruthy being.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
Wow! That's impressive!!! Some system she has there! I'm afraid I would be her polar opposite! LOL

I'm with ya on that one.
Meetings are one thing that annoy the heck outta me at work. So pointless.
Their main function is to provide an audience to a bunch of upper management folks who ~love~ to hear themselves talk. *rolls eyes*

Please don't make me angry. You wouldn't like it when I'm angry. ;-)

Hey! You still up? I've been off trying to get my laundry sorted from the trip. Didn't feel like doin' none of that stuff today. Tomorrow is gonna be laundry day. Aunt Cheryl has a dentist appointment so I'll get up and get started while she's gone.
Wednesday PurpleQ wants me to meet her in Waco for a drink after she gets off work and then Friday night her hubby is gonna be out of town so I'm gonna go spend the night with her. Oughtta be fun!!! Guess we could kinda call it a moot even. :-)

What Steve doesn't realize is that at 58 years old I was twice his age. Now at 59 when he hits 30 I will not be. - He's catching up with me!LOL! I like that way of looking at it.

Goooood morning!
Hope the Mrs. made it home safe and sound last night, Corin!
If'n I can find a dog sitter on such short notice, I MIGHT be going on a trip with Bilbo and Jim starting Thursday. Probably Maine, to begin with...but Bilbo is trying to talk us into tent camping up in Nova Scotia or somesuchlike. A mere 15 or 16 hours worth of driving. I don't think so. But Maine would be nice, so long as we could find an open campground this late in the game.
