Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Downtown....eeeek!!
I'm sorting through the varios stacks of paper I have piled up and trying to see what I've paid and what I haven't.
I expect I'll be killin' more aphids this evening when the wind dies down a bit.

Man, there were some huge fireworks all around us last night -- we could see them all the way over on Fox Island, and up along the crest of the hill behind us. People around here must spend ENORMOUS sums of money on those things! But it was nice in that is was just last night -- nothing before and nothing, so far, after. And Chance didn't bark at all, even though we had the windows open all night (got to about 83 here yesterday afternoon). He was great, didn't seem bothered as long as he was with us. Guess he's figured out at 9 that humans just make a lot of noise sometimes.

Another neighbor had a big multi-shot one, said it cost him $75, but if you factor in the $64 for bail plus an unknown amout for the fine when he goes to court, it was an expensive evening for him.lol...some people just don't learn...

Pathetic isn't it?
You know.... she wet our bed last night while we were outside watchin' the fireworks.... I think she was a little ~too~ relaxed.

Luke did that during his nap yesterday, but he wasn't drugged...
My s-i-l's dog (poodle) has started wetting the bed in the middle of the night. It's their own fault tho, they started taking him out to pee, then stopped. (it's a loooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng story)
I can't say as I blame the dog.
I need to dig up some lunch and get back to work...

These types of folks are the reason so many people are leaving Miami. The central and south americans are flowing in like crazy, and they have brought all of their bad habits with them.Don't worry, it's not just Miami...it's happening everywhere. You should see what's become of Providence. People can say what they will about our former Mayor who's currently serving time in NJ for racketeering, but at least he ran a tight ship. Our new mayor, under the banner of "diversity" has masterfully restored Providence to the crime-addled sewer that it once was!

Good morning Bear.... About to go up to the beach house.... The wedding pics from the 'official photographer' are there, and I am eager to see 'em.
Been meaning to go all weekend, but waiting for the cease-fire.

I am out of here... a'fore I get in real trouble... I thought you were talkin' about this post.
You sure do have a lot of adventures for a hobbit.

"I had each of them select a verse or passage from the Bible that was important to them. They would then recite the passage, and explain why they felt it was important. They did a fantastic job...and if this is what it takes for them to get interested in church, then so be it. Up until this point, I've had a very tough time getting them involved, due to the "archaic" nature of our church."
Cool! Any time you can find something like that that works to get them involved, it's a blessing!
Pastor ItsOurTimeNow? It has a ring to it :)
