Special Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Just got back from the walk, NW quadrant quiet in the shire now.
We saw the all burn marks in the pavement where our neighbor shot his fireworks off last night, that kid spent a ton of money to shoot off that much, seemed like a lot of noise at the time.
Another neighbor had a big multi-shot one, said it cost him $75, but if you factor in the $64 for bail plus an unknown amout for the fine when he goes to court, it was an expensive evening for him.
Corin; JR is simply attempting to add texture and visual interest to an otherwise uniformly cut lawn. Think of it as a creative expression, an art project perhaps? :-)
Ruthie - kudos to your mom - that's tellin' him 'how the cow ate the cabbage'.
Seamus; great pics of Autumn. I'm sure HE will show you the way, just don't spread yourself too thin. If you're able to motivate the teens, I'd say you were doing a heck of good job.
OT: get to go Downtown today, got my six-month evaluation at TMC; at least I got a good book to read.
Hair - glad to hear the "rocketeers" left for parts unknown. Gypsy decided to spend quality time with LSA on the couch last nite, just in case LSA needed some comforting due to the fireworks. :-)
SYL
Gidget isn't up yet. The look on her face is the look of someone that's been on a three-day bender and doesn't remember a thing. ;~D
Been wondering about the cost of the nifty rockets you can buy now. We saw some of them big multi shot ones across the way ...
Those were pretty cool huh? I like the idea of seeing all that in celebration of our country - even if half the people doing it don't know what the real reason is. :-)
Fantastic!!!
Can Foster's be sent electronically to the Aussies?
if you hear, let us know! :-D
That's good news. :-)
In a couple weeks, I'll actually get to go to a show, our city fair will have fireworks at the end, and we get to go to that one!
That one sounds like fun too. What kind of fair is it? I enjoyed coming back here and going to the fair in Waco last year with PQ and her mom... we have a lot of livestock and farm stuff. Crafts and photography on display too. It's always cool to walk along and see entries from people you know. :-)
Uh, don't ya'll have another kind of *show* coming up pretty quick? Wasn't the Howard Shore thing in July?
Autumn is absolutely so *cute* that I'm sure she must be another grandkid for me to adopt!!!! *grin*
I already adopted Ruthy's ya know. Her Becky can give you my references! :-D
... we have a lot of livestock and farm stuff. Crafts and photography on display too.
This isn't that kind of fair. Our "county fairs" with livestock and produce from Grange wimmin are all in the fall. This is more of a city carnival. Rides, 'throw the ball through the mouth of the clown', teenagers get to stay out late type stuff, and they have fireworks the last night.
Yea!!!! Cheers for your mom Ruthy!!! :-D
Oh wow! The Howard Shore thing is practically "here" then! Cool for ya'll. It's gonna be a moot... must be pictures. :-)
I guess the Waco fair rolls it all into one cause they've got the gaves and rides, teenager escapades and stuff along with it too. Oh, and the rodeo. We saw the extreme bull riding last year. And there's some kind of concert and fireworks every night.
Guess I'm over my Suzi-style funkle for the morning. Gotta go socialize with Cheryl and Lynn for a while - then get my stuff packed to return to WF. Gees, I've been away from there for 3 weeks almost and it kinda feels like I have a life again! Wonder if there's some message in that? LOL
You know, they say that after a time pets and their owners start to look alike...
Corin's takin' an indoor break. I have not seen the "party cloudy" of which they speak, but I have been experiencing the 75% humidity...
We could spam for the preciousssss couldn't we my love?
But they is always watching....
They doesn't spam very good, does they precious?
No, they don't.
They'll call it shameless...
But the precious
will be ours
when the thread is dead...
