Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Goodnight Ruthy. Snuggle up under a warm sealskin cover and get well. :-)

It is hot in here tonight. Aunt Cheryl said she's writing it on the calendar that I said that.

I think Ruthee needs an all-white baby seal fur comforter for Christmas. That's what I think. :-)

Yeah, I know. "An armed society is a polite society."
But even if I had a gun, I'd probably use more primitive methods, just to work off my mad.
And I tend to jump up and down and stomp my feet when I get mad. <Hah! Made you laugh with THAT mental image!> Now, if I'm wearing my pretty high heeled pumps when I do that ... well! As my favorite fictional nautical character Jack Aubrey would say, "Beat? Rugs ain't in it!"

It sounds like to me that she'd really enjoy something like that. Maybe even a jacket. She thinks only *other* folks can enjoy that... I think she needs something like that of her own. :-)

Well, now I'm sorry that we didn't have opportunity to make you mad while you were here, in order to properly understand the display. :-P
I haven't had the chance to say so yet... but I want to thank you and Bear for coming out for our little event. It was really an honor that y'all would come out and party with us for some days. I hope you two had as much fun with it all as we did! :-)
