My Biology teacher in HS had a Twinkie in his desk drawer that had been there for at least fifteen years. This was in 1980. I would bet money that it is still there and I would further bet that it still looks exactly like any Twinkie "freshly" on a store shelf, anywhere.

I'm debating what's grosser between the Twinkie Weiner sandwich and the Twinkie from 1980. . .

I'm reminded of the time my Dad bought a can of octopus around, maybe, 1975, because he wanted to see what it tasted like. But my Mom didn't want to eat it, so he put it away in the cupboard--a cupboard we rarely used. 20 years later while painting, someone decided to open the cupboard. . .

I think so - at least, it was paperback and available. Has 15 stories?

I'll be interested to hear about it when you get it! The original book had 15 stories... the trade paperback reissued by Ibooks in 2001 had 2 extra stories. I don't know if the Ibooks paperback edition has them or not!

Will be very interested to hear what you think of the stories, too. Was just re-reading one of them earlier today...

That is disgusting!! Even in my most heavily-partied years, I wouldn't have thought of THAT recipe!

"Fifteen Year Old Twinkies" would be a good name for a band!

True--could be expanded to "Twinkie the Kid and the 15-Year-Old Twinkies" :)

Sounds like a porn site. The kind that gets the feds hauling Mr. Smith away for a long, long time.
