In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Havent checked my mood ring yet. Yall behave yourselves, ya hear? Principal JimRob is still out of town. I expect the utmost respect on this thread today. The Mods have been overworked lately.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer.
Folderol, also Folderal noun:

Etymology: Probably fr. Latin

2) A nonessential talk or action: piffle, nonsense
Yes, unlike, say....the Writers at the NYTIMES or WaPo, These guys use an excruciating amount of exactitude in their writings, and that takes time, and one suspects that this is no different.
LOL!
How I found that out was that I kept having pants disappear and then 'magically' reappear neatly folded and even fabric softenered.
At first I thought I was losing my mind, until I discovered HOW the pants were disappearing.
My dear step-daughter was borrowing them, she said she preferrred the relax fit jeans, and the cut of the men's style.
Somethign about the women's 'relaxed fit' jeans being 'pinchy' to here or some such.
Never did understand what the devil she was talking about with that.
(I have a few pair of BDU military 6 pocket pants that she also borrowed, "I like all the pockets" she said.)
So, that's the short of it, I kept thinking I was going nuts because I'd be missing a few pair of pants and 'the rotten kid' had them all along before revealing that fact.
LMAO....For me the Fabric softening would have been the tip off...lol
just WHO wears the pants in your family? LOL -cute story.
LOL!
You'd think I'd have payed more attention to such, but I honestly didn't.
(I earned the title of "Most Clueless of Men" given to me by both the missus and the step-daughter. Don't rightly remember the circumstances behind it, but it was said with warmth and affection.)
I don't use fabric softener, so I was suspicious but shrugged it off.
I figgered the missus had somethign to do with it instead.
(It's always the one you suspect the least!)
At least she wasn't borrowing my shirts, that would've really made me worry about losing my marbles.
"Why does my shirt smell flowery?"
ears = wears
ooops.
what's wrong with fabric softener? it makes the clothes not all electrick-y when you take them from the dryer in the winter especially. xsboys and xshub's clothes are all washed together with the girls and i, so they smell of fabric softener too. what's it to ya???
Makes me itch.
well you delicate sensitive little thing you! does wifey have to do your clothes separately? i do the clothes of 5 people in my house and they are broken down by light, white and dark. period.
I am severely allergic to fabric softeners that are added to the wash cycle.
I got 6 months of free laundry service years ago because they had mistakenly added fabric softener to my laundry, when they specifically knew not to use it.
shout (bc i tend to slop coffee on myself), tide, oxyclean and whatever fabric softener is on sale. those are the contents of my laundry room.
Smells Very gay.
The last time one of those things slipped in with my gym clothes, I got asked if the Queer guys came over and had an Eye for me.....
LOL!
No, she found a fabric softener that I don't react to.
(I usually try to do my clothes myself, but then teh white socks turn grey because I toss 'em in with the black socks and my pants.)
I break out in hives from fabric softeners. I can use dryer sheets, but not liquid fabric softeners.
Xtra and oxyclean are the sum contents of my laundry room.
Found somestuff that doesn't make me itch, or blister up like some stuiff does to me, and it doesn't smell flowery thank God.
it would be very inefficient for xshub to wash his own clothes as he has the least of any of us since he wears a suit and has his shirts done professionally. we do the laundry jointly and for that reason xsbrownie, xsteen and i always have each others underwear bc he has no idea what belongs to whom. but he is not above folding a panty!
they always do, why would that make a diff?
I won't even take a chance trying.
We discovered the allergy when I was about 10 or 11..........my mother wound up having to wash ever sheet and towel in the house and every article of clothing I had. It was the only allergy I ever had, until I moved to Delaware and acquired hay fever!!!
My stuff goes to the dry cleaners (I despise ironing crap at 4:30 in the AM), except short sleeve shirts, underwear, and gym clothes....And others who shall remain nameless have far too close a relationship with the Bleach monster for my comfort.....
2 loads, Sunday eve.
