Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We could use a little of the hot and sticky, to be sure... but it simply *doesn't* ever get that hot and humid. Ruthy and I aren't asking for humidity. We are asking for *heat!* HEAT! We don't wanna be shivering!
You are going to have to keep us warm!

78??? Ummm.... no. But lower 70's is quite likely. 80's are possible, though it's kinda hit and miss.
Rain and wind is also a possibility... You just never know around here. Could be anything. But it probably won't snow.

You two will be shivering no matter how hot it is to *us* out here. Definitely bring sweaters. :-)
Us locals will be panting and sweating and complaining about how hot it is... and y'all will be sitting in a corner shivering... :-) I can see it now...

I'll be building a bonfire on the beach in the afternoon... but it's only gonna last until about 8pm when the tide will be coming up to there and putting out the fire...

My plan "B" consists of staying in some form of shelter, preferably with a blanket or two. :-)

Got Sweatshirts. Got Deep-Ice Parkas ifn' ya need 'em.
I think I know how to fix this... both of you should go swimmin' in our lovely 50-degree water first thing as soon as you get here.
From there on... *nothing* will seem as cold as that. You'll be warm for the rest of the trip. Whattya think?
