Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I don't blame you! I wish the hail would melt on it's way down. Good grief, it was 95 degrees when I came in because the storm was here.

Wonder if it would work if I sent you guys a WalMart pool? Lovely thought, but we tried it with an old water storage bladder. The sun just heats the water up to about 100 or so then it is like bath water. Appreciate the thought though. THank everyone for the pics and post. THey helped. Steve

Hot and sticky, day and night...YUCK!
Seattle will be a nice change of pace unless, of course, I bring the hot, sticky weather up with me! I hope not!

Hi Steve! Well, the pool was a thought. Will try to think of something else. If you get any ideas, let us know.

Hi smaagee!!
I wish I could package a ton of icy slush for you guys to splash around in. At the very least, it would take longer before it turned into bath water! :-)

Short break right now.

We could use a little of the hot and sticky, to be sure... but it simply *doesn't* ever get that hot and humid. July/August will get into the 80's, maybe 90's on occasion... but not steamy hot like Miami in July.

Hair is hoping it will be at least *70* for the wedding.
I asked if I could pray for 80.
She said NO.
