Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

So'm I! ;-)
Heh...usually I'm not as motivated. Makes me wonder what I could accomplish if I wasn't normally such a lazy slob...
Think I'll go read for a bit. I'll catch everyone tomorrow morning!
Oh...my basil and lemon balm seeds are starting to sprout! I'm so excited...I didn't think they'd work, since I'm not having very good luck this year.

Sounds like to me you've had pretty good luck with everything. Your garden and yard seem to be coming along quite well!

This (the Narrows Bridge lane restrictions) should not be too bad for those staying at my house. From here, you get on the bridge at the Jackson street entrance, which is right at the entrance to the bridge proper -- so the freeway lane closings (back at 24th eastbound) will not affect you very much. For crossing the night after the wedding, we should be late enough that the traffic won't be too heavy. And we'll keep Ramius out long enough on Thursday in town that he shouldn't have much traffic crossing back over.

I'm sooooo ready to get on a plane!
For now though, I have to return a phone call, so I'll catch you all later or tomorrow, whichever comes first!
Nighty night folkses!

The traffic problem looked avoidable, but something to keep in mind.... They've got this freeway so tore up, I am bummed that the first impression of Gig Harbor is going to be a bit of a mess!

No! That will not be the impression we get! No worries there! We all already know that every city has highway construction messes. That will just be a little thing even if it does turn to be an inconvenience at some point.
Now, whether redneck country gals can navigate about --- that is another story! But, I know how to keep driving till I find myself *somewhere*... :-)
Oh, and I have lots of phone numbers! LOL

Heh... in the 14 years I've lived in Austin, there has always been road construction going on somewhere (usually close to our home). Road construction doesn't bother me! ;)
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
All that road construction in Austin is why I've spent years going 281 to San Antonio! It's heck to be stop and go (mostly stop) on I-35 on a bike! And it's usually that way all the way from Austin to S.A.

We all already know that every city has highway construction messes. Not like this, they don't... :-) But I'm happy to hear that y'all won't be stressing to bad on it. After all, for a 15 minute trip, it only adds a couple of extra hours. No big deal. :-)

After all, for a 15 minute trip, it only adds a couple of extra hours. No big deal. :-)Well, I suppose we'll figure out if it's worse when we get there. But, this 15 minute trip taking a couple of hours.... is on par with south Austin on a good day.
I think the parts where I have been held up the worst there are about finished.... but that just means the construction has moved. And the construction by Bear and Rose's house is not even the area that's given me trouble. They've been in a whole other world of traffic hell for about 10 years or so.
