Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I'm gonna have to get another one someday if we ever want to get series about camping...

I think Miss Cat would have preferred that I got the double size.

Heh...the morning show that I listen to on the way to work is partially sponsored by those Sleep Number beds. The gal on the show always mentions her CATS' sleep number - she has a double bed and sets it softer than her side.

That's rather disturbing.

That's rather disturbing.

It is? It sounds pretty rational to me. :)

I will admit to letting the cats sleep on the bed.

I would not confess to letting them have their own mattress setting. Not in public anyway...

I don't think I can keep cats from sleeping on the bed if they want to. But if you could adjust part of your bed for your cat, why not? :)

Is it fairly easy to transport?

Well pretty much. It comes with it's own duffle bag. But it was getting a little heavy by the time I got it through the Orlando airport.

Heh...I guess if you had it ANYway...maybe.

Especially if it meant they'd sleep in.

Luckily mine are lazy bums.

I'll check it out. They've been told to limit their luggage for choir tour cause they had a HUGH response to kids wanting to go. But if it doesn't take up more room than a sleeping bag he should be okay.

Time ta go home... Might rent Pitch Black tonight. I got paid, so I'm thinkin' I could get away with a small splurge, and what I've heard about it so far sounds intriguing!

My smaller jeans are size 10, yes. They're still tight, so a ways to go, and I haven't lost any actual weight in a couple weeks - I think the exercise is exchanging fat for muscle, which is good, but not as nice as weighing less.

The Corpus Christi thing... that's odd, my friend in England was telling me last Tuesday she'd been to a procession for it last weekend. They don't have it on different weeks in Europe or something weird like that, do they?

And I went to B&N at lunch today. They had classic books for $5, and if you bought two, the third was free. I'd gone to get "Dracula" but I went ahead and got "Sense and Sensibility" and "Pride and Prejudice", too. I got an odd look from the clerk!

But I've got a splitting headache so I'm gonna lie down, then hopefully have time to lift before going over to someone's house to work on the music for the special choir tomorrow.

LOL...love the Missa Hilarious!

Cool...I don't know many PDQ people.

My favorites are the Unbegun Symphony and The Seasonings...

Cumin through the rye;
Summer is a cumin seed,
Please don't ask me why."

Is she Church of England, maybe? They have a slightly different schedule, but follow a very similar liturgical year, I believe.

Mmm...classic books for five bucks? Wish we had a B&N so I could see if that was a universal sale!

But I still have loads to read, so I guess I'm OK...for now.
