Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Or actually, if there's confusion over names,
this might clear things up better :)

Okay, I'll check it out. There's no aliens, though?
Right now I'm watching Reagan's Desperate Journey. They just finished King's Row.

Heh heh...
"What makes you think boarding up the doors and windows will stop them?"
"Well, they seem to have trouble with pantry doors..."
Hidden spoiler!

There are what appear to be aliens... they just aren't the point of the real story. :)

What's "The Village" about? It's about these guys. They sing bad disco music. One dresses up like a cop, another like an Indian Chief, yet another like a construction worker and...oh wait...

What's "The Village" about?Quoting from IMDB:
"Set in rural Pennsylvania in 1897, this is the story of the small village of Covington, with only a population of 60, surrounded by woods inhabited by a race of "mythical creatures," and the romance that blossoms between Kitty, the daughter of the town's leader, and Lucius, a young man. However the village becomes threatened when Lucius questions the policy of keeping Covington's citizens completely confined to the village."

I didn't have enough wine to make that as funny as it should be. I'd better have some more.
Or just go to bed. Seeya.

AAAAAAIIEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somebody get me a root canal to dull the pain....
I've been running utilities and scans and updates and what have yous since I came home tonite. And I just got off the phone after spending an hour with Comcast tech support.
Here's my issues of the day (I've been FReepmailing ecurbh and Bear about some of 'em).
1) I first noticed I couldn't log onto Tripod from home. I can from the office. I've got three websites with them.
2) Bear suggested that I clear the cookies and history (didn't help Bear). But to do so I went to the other Windows XP accounts to make sure I got it all. No problem with mine, the Mrs. and Jr. But wife's sister and Luke have limited accounts. I can no longer access Comcast thru their accounts. I CAN if I give them Administrator status.
3) Went to click on the Online Comcast Suport Icon on my desktop...it's not there even though it tells me it is installed (and I know it was).
So I got on the phone and didn't get very far. The guy helped me to reinstall the Online Suport. But I can't log into it from here. He can with my password. But I can't.
But he thinks the issues are related to the firewall on the router. He's got his "group" looking into it for me and they're supposed to call back.
Sigh...
