Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We'll be testing the webcam up at the beach house Saturday. Cross your fingers that it works!
It's not active now, but the link will be at the the-hobbit-hole.net site, linked at the top of the thread.

Yeah, someone needs to make them available all over. I think they would be as well received as -- what were they again?? -- those round plastic thingies the kids threw down, and flipped.
He brought home a bunch of pumpkin, strawberry, and chocolate. Like a pretzel stick with icing on it. But more cookielike. I liked the pumpkin.

Pachouli oil....now there's a smell I haven't in over 30 years. I used to put it on my lightbulbs. hmmm, I want to smell it now.
Is it still available, in Texas?

I wish I could do that. I do it somewhat. And the hardest part is keeping quiet while they spew -- let them have their say, and then straighten them out with facts. I use a platter of cookies in leiu of dazzling smile.

Very cool, Corin, thanks so much for the link.
They can take freedom away, though, unfortunately, they got a full court press on it right now.
I've always loved Ray Charles, Corin, ever since high school in the mid 60's. Gotta get some CD's, I guess.
