Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I've often wondered; if you plant some stuff outside the fence around the garden, would the rabbits be satisfied and not try to get what's inside?

Tampa Bay beats Calgary in Game 7 of the finals to win the Stanley Cup...Now that's a hoot! Just the fact that there's an ICE HOCKEY team in TAMPA BAY is strange enough!

Morning!
Am still swamped.
And trying to get down to DC to pay my respects. Thursday is turning out to be very tight- have a big briefing to give and there's no way out of it. :(

You know Rosie, I bought a used copy of the Sq. Ft. Gardening book on eBay. At best, I'm not going to try it until next year. If you want I could send it to you and let you get all learned up and you could send it back whenever.
Lemme know and freepmail me yer address.

Did they keep the same one when the USSR came apart? No. The first one after the break-up (Korea maybe?) they came as the United Russian States (or something like that). Played some song that newscasters said just didn't mean anything to the athletes.

They have the book here at the library, so I should be all set! I can at least read it and see whether it sounds feasible.
But thank you for your offer! I appreciate it.

I started to offer her my copy, but realized I don't know where it is! It's in a box somewhere, I've run across it from time to time. ;o)
