Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Three times? Piker.
This week is my five-year anniversary of Potter fandom, actually. I remember forcing my sisters to read it - didn't take much work - reading the first two aloud to my little brothers... waiting all summer for "Prisoner of Azkaban" to make it to the US.

I'm supposed to get these chromatograms for the report. They have to go into a Word document. What kind of a blankety blank computer is it that doesn't even have an image editor? Grrrr.....

Look! I took this picture from the webcam!! ;-) ROTFL!! Keep a look out for Bay and the Pony!

Yeah...that's what I thought. "No...you have to copy and paste directly into the Word document." All the other chromatograms are in *.jpg.

Whole lot of stinkin' fun you've got...
Another half hour, and I'm gone.

Unbelievable. I would not be surprised if these folks lived nearby...
Bixby Burglary Arrest
There are new developments about a burglary in Bixby that cut off a family's connection to their soldier in Iraq.
Someone broke into the family's home last month and stole several things, including a laptop computer the children used to keep in touch with their dad. We've now learned one of the victim's neighbors confessed to the burglary and was arrested on an unrelated felony warrant.
The family's dog was badly beaten during the robbery. The suspect told investigators another neighbor offered him $100 to kill the dog because it had bitten him. That neighbor admits to making the statement but says it was just a joke.

Just found out that a HUGH furniture store, about 15 miles from here, that has an IMAX threater in it is showing PoA!! All the shows are sold out for the next two days except for 11:45pm tomorrow night. We thinking on it... It's expensive, though! $12.50 a person! It would be fun to see it on a HUGH screen, though! I don't remember them ever doing any of the LoTR movies there.

Three times? Piker. LOL! Yeah, I know. Don't know how many times Clare and Joseph have read it. It's the series that got Joseph reading for pure pleasure! Even then, it took seeing the first movie to pique his interest.
