Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

we liked to play *Illuminati: New World Order*

I remember that game!! Paul and David had the cards and I loved the "Harmonica Virgins"! Paul said he's familiar with Steve Jackson Games, and laughed when I told him Austin's motto!

He was wondering about lawyering jobs there and I told him it was the state capital so it must be lousy with lawyers!

David was talking about the hi-techness of the place last night and said that there's a direct flight from Austin to Los Angeles or somewhere in CA that folks call the 'Nerd Bird' cause so many techy folks fly back and forth on it.

Hi folks, will be around for a little while, and more frequently for a few days.

Hair, congratulations on your impending nuptials!

I don't handle sudden scary images very well...

Well, there WAS some warning with this scene. Time enough to cover your eyes before the dastardly part!

(((LCS)))

Always nice to see you! I'm glad you'll be around more often.

I have SOOOOO much work to do and I can't get my brain in gear. *sigh* Must mean I need food or something.

I can't get my brain in gear.

To get my mental energy level up, I just think 'Michael Moore'! Works like a charm!

I meant to wait lunch a little, but I'm starving, so I started in now. Shrimp. Yummy.

Apparently it was on sale yesterday. My mother picked up a bag. Nice lunch, although I had to wash them for five minutes before they'd thaw out.

Later I'll have some popcorn. Or I might have it at the movies tonight. Hmm. Decisions, decisions.

Just think, the Gulf Coast shrimp fishermen sail out an hour away from here! They also catch oysters, crabs, and tasty fishes!

Gollum would enjoy!

I have some of the cooked frozen kind in the freezer...but fresh shrimp has so much more flavor! They had some for under five dollars a pound one afternoon a few weeks ago...I bought a whole pound. *blush* It did last me for several meals, though!
