It's more than depressing, it's just part of a joint RAT/terrorist operation to get rid of Bush and save Saddam's regime. The RATs worry about an "October surprise", but every week they try to spring their latest "October surprise" on Bush. If Bush uses the word "sorry", "apologize", or "responsible" (three words totally alien to klinton), there would be screams for a house judiciary committee investigation into impeachment the next day.
This is based on their faulty thought processes that their 200-20 hindsight was right all along, and is now indisputable fact accepted by everyone. There can be no more debate on that, they feel (note the use of "feel"), just on how severe the punishment should be. The world began this week with the pictures of alleged abuse (they're more considerate of the sensibilities of American criminals). Or the week before, with the hyping of some clown's book, or the week before that, with the contradictory (and therefore perjurious) testimony of some beltway bozo with a deflated ego and an axe to grind. Khobar Towers, the embassies, the Cole, WTC I and II, Somalia, the big holes in the Pentagon and Pennsylvania not only never happened, they're not even part of the RAT universe.
The shredders of the UCMJ were already processing the accused GIs before the photos were released. Justice can't work any faster, unless you just shoot the accused on the spot.
One final rant, not aimed here, but at the "elite", is, read the damn fine print on the back of that passport you're so proud of. There are a number of ways you can flush your American citizenship down the toilet, especially by fighting in an enemy military. Then read those damn Geneva Conventions you're spouting. Read about the four conditions that must be met to qualify as "prisoner of war". Read about "illegal combatants", and what rights they have. Hint: nothing more than a bullet in the back of the head. Anything better than that is purely magnaminity on our part.
