Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Ok! I'll keep it running for a while...Steve'll be home soon and he said he'd take me to walmart and even talk to me, so I'll have to get off line.

So, any more thought on where we want to meet?Where do you think you would be between 4:30 and 5? That will be about the time I'm leaving Hulbert and going through Fairlee. If you're up in that area by that time, I looked adn there are a couple of diners and family restaurants in town. If you're still going to be South of there by that time, I can head South on 91 and we can meet up at White River Junction or Lebanon.
I'll freepmail you my cell phone# so we can keep in touch.

That's fine if Stephen wants to come! I'll enjoy seeing him again, since he didn't make it to Entmoot!

Got home, time to exercise, then some serious thoughts about writing...Which of your stories are you working on now? You've got several started!--was thinking about the SF one with Anion, etc. last night and wondering how that's coming.

Hey everybody!
I've been out all day. Kinda a sad day. Was Celia's last day at work and we had a cookout up there for her. She left at 1 and I went with her to her house. Had to haul her office fridge in my pickup. Then, we watched "The Movie." *snif*
Celia's husband Pete got orders to go to North Carolina. They don't leave till the first week of August so we'll have time to hang out a lot before then but I am already missing her.

I swear, when I was a teenager, everyone had a pair of these! They originated down there on the beach where I grew up. I had a pair of those too! Loved 'em!!! Haven't seen 'em in ages!!!
This is the important part. "Made in Texas by Texans." :-)

It was kinda weird, how nobody thought anything of it...That was just their name. And it's what we called them Chuck Taylors, Vans, Tiddies.2J, that's not exactly the case everywhere in Texas. ;-)

Oh man, I bet she's gonna miss you, too! It's hard, when you've made friends, to see them go.

Is there anything good in the specials? I'd like to see that clip of the CGI armies running away.
To: Overtaxed
Haven't watched them all yet- just the Nat'l Geographic special. It's ok.

I'm wondering just how many specials can you make about a movie. Don't they all start sounding the same after a while?
To: Overtaxed
Yes but at least we don't have to listen to PJ say "this wahs shot on the fearst day" about everything. We concluded after the first disk's worth of specials that their first day was awfully busy.

So why did the film take so long to do if everything was done on the first day? :)
