Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Are there any more long weekends coming up? Or could we make one before you leave?
Hm...how far from where you are is the Syracuse area? Or Utica?

I won't necessarily go with them to see those friends, in other words...but if I did, I'd probably be south of here already.
Having an excuse to leave a little early might actually be a good thing...

The only long weekend before I leave is the 4th - and I have plans for that already, sadly.
Lemme check on the Syracuse/Utica thing.

Ok, Syracuse is just under 6 hours... Utica another 45 minutes beyond that. Do-able...

Has anyone bought the LOTR ROTK DVD yet? am curious about the featurettes/extras on there. Am willing to hold out until the EE, but may succumb to an urge to see it via the theatrical version.
Not that I am getting tired of Master and Commander...hehehehehe....

I think some of us have. My sister's picking up our copy today. I'll get to see it tomorrow or so.

I don't think there are any extras that were not on the official website with the theatrical... but there is reportedly a "making of" that I am not sure is a rerun.

But that is also my personality. I'm either totally uninterested in something or completely swept away. You may or may not have the same response. LOLI tend to do that, too :) If it's classic hymns I'd probably like it.

Where is my medication? You DON'T need medication, you need firepower. Outside of CA, MA, and NYC, it would be considered justifiable homicide.
