Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Does that album have Nimoy's "Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" on it? :)Yes it does, track 21. However, the weapon is incomplete because I do not have the last two tracks yet. Research continues.

Morning. Gorgeous day here. I'll see some of it whilst stuck in construction.
Actually I'm going to make a B&N run at lunchtime instead of eating so I'll see more then, too. See everyone tonight!

Sorry I dropped off so suddenly last night. I think my ISP had DNS problems...in any case I suddenly could only get to a few VT sites and pretty much nothing else. Very, very irritating. It's OK this morning...dunno what happen.

Good morning!
We had thunderstorms last night, and I couldn't sleep. I am NOT with it today. Supposed to storm more tonight, too. Goody.

Good morning!
This is our last week of school! I gotta get the house "company clean"!
Was talking to Steve and he said he thought you might like to go to Woolaroc, OT! He's been wanting to go too, so he'll probably drive us and the boys us there, on Sat. probably...

It's a preserve...I think it's part of the Tall Grass Prairie. It stands for Wood, Lake and Rock....I'm not sure.
Also, would be fun to take you to a powwow, if we can find one going on...

Are we going to have time for that on Saturday? I wasn't planning on getting there until lunchtime.
To: Overtaxed
Oh!!! I thought you were coming Friday!!
We can still go to a powwow, if I can find one nearby...the dancing will be in the evening, after the sun goes down.
We can go to Woolaroc on Sunday, after church or we can skip church and go straight there, whatever you want to do.
The homeschool banquet is this Friday, so if you aren't going to be here till Sat. you miss the banquet. Darn, huh? LOL

Oops! Sorry about that. I was planning on working Friday...thought the banquet was on Saturday.
To: Overtaxed
That's ok! I thought you might find the banquet rather boring anyways...it's only exciting to a bunch of homeschoolers! LOL
There's a few powwows...don't know exactly where they are and which one is closer, but that would really be fun..I've been to a couple.
