Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A sudden tree or standing stone

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Glad to hear the ficus is enjoying the fresh air; LSA's keeps getting "blowed over, real good".

Though it was a long trip across there, when we had the double nickel speed limit, sheesh, Kansas and eastern Colorado went on forever.

OK... so here I sit refreshing the thread, and thinking that the thread has died for a good half hour or so. Then of course I finally notice that I'm refreshing on 4,300 over and over and over again.

Dang it.

What do you mean by "long day's drive"? 8 hours, or 18?

Driving might be an option... my car gets good mileage, and if it wasn't too far, I might try that.

It's muh job.

Thanks for doing your job, LOL! I've now gotten in my required aerobic sessions for the week, so for the next few days I can do my "fun" exercises :) Think I'll have some Pringles later to celebrate, LOL!

See ya Rosie! I'm just sittin' here watching this show...it's good! Sometimes it gets PC or liberal, but it's ok so far tonight...

Get a load of this email that Matthew wrote his friend (the brother of the sick little boy)...I think it's a riot.

LOL! Cute email :) Reminds me of a review of Star Wars I wrote when I was 7 years old, LOL!
