Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Where are we havin' Entmoot '05, anyway? At the g'nad's? The Castle again? Well, we gotta decide if were series about an Inauguration-Moot. Maybe that shouldn't be an "official" moot, but just fer those who can make it. If there's a FReeper ball, we plan to go.
Next year is tricksey fer the Stormhands household. Got a big summer event fer werk. But we'd make it happen somehow. Even if'n it's just me.
But it seems only fair to do something more "central continent" since we've had Entmoot in Florida and Wedding-Moot clear across the world...

Yeah, I need to know the same thing. I'm secretly putting my graduation present money toward the "EntMoot 05" fund.
Oh, and Rosie, any time you want a cheap vacation, there'll be a couch or something in Colorado... all you have to do is fly out there. I'll feed you and we can just watch anime or go hiking or whatever.
Yay! Business trip is off! I convinced the client that in this day and age, face-to-face is highly overrated.

*shudders*
The missus got bit on the arm while we were CAMPING by a recluse.
She has an oval scar on her arm from the crater that opened up on the site of the bite.

LOL!
I was thinking that the commentary was somewhat supplied by the audience.
Yeah, be careful changing those sheets.
The missus' arm swelled up and had this corpse like red white and blue bull's eye look to the bite, along with skin sloughing off, pus, and pain.
We never did find the spider, but the bite itself is distinctive.
