Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Wonder if it's cut worms...but they usually eat from the edge of the leaf in.
Hey, they are fun to get rid of...just take you wife out in the garden with a couple of flashlights and pick the worms off (they come out at night). Once you get all the worms picked off and killed...you can make out!

Looks like he's got a mailbox on the counter.

I should probably stay away from it, since I KNOW I'm overly sensitive on the subject, as I've said. People who equate anyone who CHOOSES to have more than two or three kids with vermin...well, I have trouble remaining calm, which isn't conducive to constructive discussion. *sigh*

We were talking about families at dinner the other night. Luke has been trying to figure out relationships..."A. is Mommy's sister?" etc.
Wife asked, "Luke, do you have a sister?"
"Not yet..."

LOL- Rudy is giving the commission a lesson in the obvious: hind sight is 20/20.

Actually, it's the only thing I have any plans for for when you are here...you got anything you want to do? There may be a fair or something we could go to...

Good morning, everyone! I'm checking in on my "stealth" computer here. Hope I don't get caught!! Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't had time to read much of the thread lately, but I wanted to check in with you'all.
How many days til wedding-moot?? :)
To: Fedora
Haven't heard of anything out right now that's a must see in a theatre...that is if you aren't estrogen-loaded for Brad Pitt. Bunch of stuff coming out soon, but most of it is the summer-faire, a little lighter and racier because of that.
To: Penny1
I'm expecting 'em to start showing up at the front door in about four weeks.
To: RosieCotton; Wneighbor
This is the Easter moot we were supposed to have and I couldn't do because I had too much company coming in and my mom had her heart set on me going to church and doing the family thing.
Wneighbor was supposed to come to that one, but she can't make this Memorial Day Moot. I'm hoping that will change????
