Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Fort Collins isn't very far from Colorado Springs is it? Or am I misremembering. I bet there are some pretty good resources there. Also Focus on the Family and a lot of new age nonsense...
(Corin is out of breath catching up on posts...I'm much more dangerous over a few short posts...)

Fort Collins is north of Denver. I think it's a couple hours from Colorado Springs.
It is near a place called Estes Park that I know has a lot of ministry stuff. I understand there are some very good churches there. Hope I don't wind up driving forever to get to church. Actually I have this sneaking suspicion I'm going to end up at the Orthodox Presbyterians. I'd rather sing psalms...
Nice thunderstorm going here. Do you guys have the cicadas yet?

We gotta do something about this "time zone" thing. It's really messing up the hobbit hole.

I had a glass of a nice merlot, and I'm all relaxed and ready to get to sleep. Yawn. Because I'm getting up tomorrow and lifting, stupid me.
Just checking out Fort Collins... looks like they have two stores that specialize in comics. I may have to pick up a new addiction or two...

Do you guys have the cicadas yet? We aren't getting them here. Mostly in Northern Virginia. Wife and I remember them from 87. Not fun.
