Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

There was almost a thunderstorm here early this afternoon, but it went away before it really got going. Maybe it went by you, LOL!
Any word on what they'll be showing at the anime convention? Hmmm--I may have to send you shopping for some deals on manga. . . :) I used to run down to the Chicago comic conventions because they'd have comics for sale so much cheaper than normal; I bet that's true of manga at anime cons, too.

I cannot WAIT for Wedding Moot!! Maybe there's some *reason* that your company should send you to the Seattle office for a few weeks?
I'm sure we could come up with someplace to stay, and we could use a little help in the yard. :-)

Rt 28 is exactly where I was stuck today. Usually it's a three-minute trip from Harmorville to the RIDC park exit - you probably got on at Harmorville too, I imagine you were coming from the turnpike, and then RIDC Park is the very next exit. Normally, easy trip. From now on, hell on earth.
Yeah, maybe we can do that... did you see I mentioned there's an anime-con in Denver? It's called Nan Desi Kon and I bet it would be fun to go one day and spend money I don'thave.

Hey there Mister Nad.
BTW... did you hear the story today of the Scots in south Iraq someplace... 15 of 'em got ambushed by 100 bad guys. The Highlanders ran outta ammo at some point... fixed bayonets... and charged.
They killed 35 enemy and only suffered 3 slightly wounded. Took 9 prisoners and the rest got away... no Scots lost.
Holy smokes... wow. If that's only half as true as that story it's an amazing thing.

The Denver anime-con sounds like fun! Clare and her friends want to go to ConnectiCon in July. It's going to be in West Hartford, and she sent in a anime music video for a competition. We haven't heard if they accepted it for judging or not.
Actually we came across on I-80 from just south of Wilkes Barre and got on to Rt. 28 where it connects with it north and East of Pittsburgh. We did the diagonal on 28 through Kitanning and down into town and came across the Allegheney right downtown by the Convention center since we were staying at the Ramada. That downtown is a MAZE! When we left the hotel the first time to go out to David's, it took us 15 minutes to find our way onto Forbes Ave. We went that route several times during the weekend, so after the second or third time, we got the hang of it.

I take it back - Clare and I sat through a commercial for it the other night. You'd have to ask her.
Suzi, Clare swore she'd be posting more so you gotta hold her to that.
