Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I've been in and out for two days with her scent on my clothes, etc. That, and we'd been gone nearly all day, so Chelsea was rather excited just to see us.

You know, Hair has now made me see
Beaches,
Fried Green Tomatoes, and
Steel Magnolias, and I have come to the conclusion that they are all actually the same movie. There's a bunch of wimmin, one of 'em has a baby, one of 'em dies.
I think I got in a bit of trouble with this one... after the obligitory death, I said "Finally!" Meanwhile, Hair was bawling her eyes out.
To make up for this, I think Matrix Revolutions is coming up in our queue.

There's so much wrong with that movie... I could be here all night detailing the wrongness...I agree: Bakshi should redo it. . . :)
It's about that time here, so g'night all!

I'm thinkin that a dose of John Wayne in Green Berets may be in order here. Yes, I know that's heavy medicine, but there's lots of good snif-moments in that one too. Just different. :-) It's got lots of snif-moments. Maybe we could repackage it as a chick-flick. There's a buck to be made here...

He fell asleep while we watched at Entmoot!!! LOL! I'd forgotten that! It was a really good movie, he just must have been dog tired that night.

We ought to suggest a testosterone-fueled action flick for Hair and ecurbh to watch, to balance the scales so to speak...The Long Kiss Goodnight oughta do it, huh, Ramius? It's got an a$$ kickin chick, and lotsa guns and stuff.

Suzi, if you need the patch, let me know and I'll get it for you ... the least I can do for a soon-to-be Austin resident!
Has he decided where he wants to live yet?

I already asked Crystal if I can borrow it to haul some manure for my garden Sure you can borrow it. you'll have to wait till I get the bed liner sprayed in tuesday though. We all know I've borrowed your truck enough in the past. I probably owe you. I dont think you will like putting gas in this one though. 5.3 V8 and 4x4...it's gonna use more gas than yours. I can afford the truck...it's the gas I'm worried about. I just read it is at $2 plus now! Wow! Gotta run.
