Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Accept, Scorpions... Finally, somebody with good sense! Without these guys ... I just stick with old-fashioned country stuff.

I had to 'splain to her that I live in a subdivision and I can just go putting rotten garbage on my plants. Heh... are you sure about that? Sometimes I wonder what my neighbors would think if they noticed. Fortunately, I got kinda a blocked view by honeysuckle on the back fences. :-)

Even more so cause I know how old I was when I was goin' to those concerts. I was thinkin' *I* was young then. But, I know how much younger than me the 2 of ya'll are! It's a good thing I am an elf.

I actually liked Wayne's World!
Especially the scene where they're in the Garthmobile listening to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody!

Our special showcase items today are the spycam coffeemaker, and the spontaneously combustible BOSS'S CHAIR. I think there's definitely a market for the Combustible Boss' Chair :) Ramius, think the Balrog could use one of those? :)

Wayne's World was fun, though I liked the TV version better. The scene with Queen definitely rocked :) My favorite Queen song is "Another One Bites the Dust".

Did you read Crichton's Eaters of the Dead or see the film made from it, The Thirteenth Warrior? The idea was "what if Beowulf was a legend based on real events?" The (film's) title character was a real person. Heh!! You have just hit on one of my favorite movies! Brought it to Entmoot and we watched it there! :-)

So, what do you think? Does ExGeeEye fit right in here, guys? Fits in right well with that one Rosie. The book is good. I recommend it.
I don't think Ramius has seen the whole movie yet. He fell asleep while we watched at Entmoot!!! How? I dunno.

I'm out of the modern music loop now, since I mostly listen to my CDs or christian radio these days.
I'd love to see ZZ Top though!
